Gutted Over Spectro

Yes you are correct,it is a small thing in the grand scheme of things. But isn't Disney all about the small things. If it wasn't why do we all plan so much.It does show that you can't please all of the people all of the time.I think some comments have been a bit harsh such as i am over the top etc.Lets not forget we all have opinions and i was simply expressing mine.By expressing them doesn't mean i am going to enjoy my trip any less as how could you not enjoy being in the happiest place on earth.

Yes, it is about the little things :) I think the different levels of reactions are perhaps just a reflection of how much people care (or not) about Spectro etc but of course, we all have our pet loves, traditions and habits. Personally I like because MSEP was the first parade I ever saw and thus holds a more sentimental spot with me. I'm sure the opposite is true of everyone who is now sad at missing Spectro - just one of those things I guess.

That said, if it turns out that the extension doesn't run through to my dates at end of Sept it's not a biggie because while not my favorite I still think Spectro is very good :)

In an ideal world, although not economically viable for Disney, it would have been great if they could have had both running, each on various nights of the week. :) I like everyone to be happy. So like they have Fantasmic nights at DHS, they could have had Spectro nights at MK.

It might be about economics but I'm guessing it's not huge increase for them really - same people operating the same floats, same mechanics and techies looking after both sets etc.

I'm more inclined to think it's down to good old fashioned practicalities and space. Both parades are huge and they are stored backstage behind Main St/Frontierland - I imagine it would be major headache to constantly have to juggle all that around.

In other news I heard that speculating wildly about something with absolutely no information or fact to back it up is as amazing as remembering all the words to MSEP ;)
