We were at DLP a couple of weeks ago and my mum bought DD a t-shirt. DD has worn the t-shirt only a couple of times since (just not been warm enough!) but insisted on wearing it to nursery today. Typically they did painting and despite obviously having an apron over the front of it she's come home with lots of blue paint splodged over the back. It's just not coming out, don't know why but I'm really :sad1: about it. Just needed to share x

I feel your pain. Did you try vanish?
DD had a lovely new DLP tee which got covered in curry sauce on its 2nd wearing. Grrr its almost as bad as getting home and realising the ornament that you careful wrapped and carefully packed with clothes in the suitcase is now in bits. Had to wait almost 6 months to replace my ToT Stitch which was the only thing I'd gotten for me on our November trip.

We're not going til August but would be happy to get you a replacement?

If it's one of the 20th anniversary ones (?), have you checked it's not available to buy on the Disney Store website?... just a thought. I feel your pain too - I know what it's like paint/pen etc and when they say they are washable they never are :rolleyes1!

Rosebug, that's really kind of you! I might take you up on your offer. Have washed it twice using different stain removers but it's not made much difference :sad1: have just rubbed some neat Fairy Liquid in to it as a last ditch attempt to shift it. It's not as though it's budging much at all!

DLPdraft, it's not one of the 20th anniversary ones, it's one of Minnie Mouse standing next to the caroussel. Thanks for the suggestion of looking online, I have checked but it's not there.

Thanks all for the replies x

:sad1: I do indeed feel your pain. Haven't tried Vanish, tried Ariel stain remover, Desolve it and now Fairy Liquid, am not holding my breath though x

I know this is a bit late but it might be helpful for future mishaps.

Working with infants, Brownies and having a very messy son this is the paint removing tecnique that has worked sucessfully for me in most cases of accidents with poster or acrylic paint.

1. DO NOT IMMEDIATELY PUT IN WASHING MACHINE. There is something in detergent and heat of the water that "fixes" the colour into the fabric and then it is there for good.

2. Soak overnight in cold water.

3. Gently scrub the area with soap (household or bathroom) sometimes I've used a nailbrush to help

4. Rinse thoroughly

5. Now wash in the machine.

The two colours that seem to be the hardest to get out are white and black.

The vanish stain remover stuff that goes in the wash (it's a powder - oxiaction?) is brilliant, my dds school seem to insist on putting food colouring in water for the kids to play in, which left me with a lot of blue stains on white tshirts!

I feel your pain. My DD managed to get permanent marker on the front of one of her favourite t shirts and it was just impossible to get out. I guess the clue's in the name.

Thanks all for the replies and for the next time handy hints. I did pop it in some cold water but didn't soak overnight. A friend did suggest rubbing some Fairy Liquid in to it so I did that last night and have since washed it, it's a little better but not much! Has to be said I'm far more gutted than anyone else in this household!

What size is your DD? I may just have the same one here that DD has grown out of which I would be happy to pass on to you. Thats providing I've not put it in the charity bin yet but I will have a look later and let you know. It would be age 6 but we always sized up because they are a small enough fit.

Wow Kizzabel, that's incredibly kind of you! It was an age 6, she's only 4 but tall for her age so we too went up a size!

That's so nice of you Kizzabel! I am happy to pick one up in August if not!

And Rosebug has that tee too, it is her favourite t-shirt!! We bought it because she met Princess Minnie and she was so excited to see the tee with her on in the princess dress! princess:

Hiya, if Kizzabel doesn't have the t shirt, I go on Monday and would be happy to get it for you :goodvibes

and this is y the dis board is the best!!! :grouphug:

ppl always ready to help out.....:goodvibes

Don't you just hate that, my dd had a beautiful Hello Kitty Tee, which she got chocolate sauce down.

She wears it, but I can still see the mark, grrrrr.

We go first week in July, if you are not sorted out, let me know.

Guys, I really am genuinely touched by everyone's kindness :grouphug: and I'm feeling pretty overwhelmed to be honest.

Many, many thanks for the various offers to buy a new one for me. Seeing as you're going next week **Clare** I might take you up on your kind offer if Kizzabel's t-shirt has already been charity shopped. I'll try and attempt to send a private message through, then if you're happy to share your e-mail address I can send a photo so you know which t-shirt I mean (can also tell you which shop we bought it from if that's any help?) and obviously arrange to send payment to cover the cost of the t-shirt and postage.

Thanks again all :thanks:

If Clare can't find it (out of stock say) I'll look for you no bother but as it will come from here postage will be a bit more than in the UK so that might be a pb.

If you need me to look just shout :goodvibes

Hi again, It will be tomorrow before I do the big wardrobe clear out (it needs a big title because its a mammoth task!) but I will reply asap as to if its here - Im 90% certain it is cause the last four bags to go to the charity bin are still in the downstairs hot press!!
