Gun Found at AK - Updated Post#25 Guest Found Loaded Gun

With all the guns in our society I bet there are lots of guns that get past security every day.

thats what I was thinking. Maybe it was concealed inside clothes etc?

Yeah, if he had it somewhere on his person and wasn't carrying a bag, there would be no reason for any of the security folks to do anything other than wave him by.

Yikes :( That scares me! You never know if it is a rational person or not toting that gun. I see changes to the security process in the future.

He was escorted back to his car and told not to come back..... I don't think he had a "LOADED" gun or more would have been done me thinks (article said they wouldn't comment whether it was loaded or not). :confused3

Maybe he had it in an ankle holster and was wearing slacks? My FIL was a cop, NYPD. Years ago he went through the metal detector when he dropped us at the airport and forgot he was wearing his gun. In those days people could accompany you to the gate. The scariest thing was he realized it and the detector did NOT go off. He went back to have a word with security...

I bet you are right. Disney security doesn't frisk people, there are no metal detectors for visitors to walk thru upon entering the parks, and the bag checks are not at all thorough, so it wouldn't be that difficult for someone to get in the park carrying a gun.

How the heck did he get past security with a gun?

Honestly, it's not like getting through Disney security is like crossing a border. They do their best, but it really wouldn't be hard to smuggle pretty much anything through if you really wanted.

Security DID find the gun, the article is brief, but it does state that Disney Security found the gun and turned it over to OCPD.
What is more interesting is the crazy comments for the article about how Disney should let everyone carry their guns in.

Actually, it's probably a lot easier to cross into Mexico than to get through Disney security (BTDT) :lmao:

As for whether it was loaded, I can't imagine any reason to carry an unloaded gun.
