Ahhghgh I was so upset last week, while riding test track i got gum all over my back, then i got on my back pack, my legs, MY HAIR. I had a new shirt and had to buy another one, because it was gum all over.

I was almost in tears, so upset, why people leave gum on the seats, that just nasty.

An on top of that, while getting out of the ride, I fell and landed on my knees, it was so embarrassing CM were so nice and gave me an ice pack.

So sorry to hear that happened to you. It never ceases to amaze some of the low-class things people will do. Sticking gum anywhere but a trash can is thoughtless and rude.

did you know that if you had trold a cm , they would have sent you to guest relations and they would have given you a voucher for a new shirt/backpack.

i only know this because it happened to us, except it wasnt gum, it was a seagul that aimed and hit dear hubby. A cm saw what happened and brought us directly to the front of park.

people are gross, this is why they do not sell gum on property i am sure, not even at that hess station....

so sorry this happened to you, gum is nasty to get off your skin :earseek:

I'm pretty sure they don't sell gum in the Theme Parks for that reason.

I'm sorry that happened. What a way to ruin a day. :flower:

So sorry to hear that. If it makes you feel any better I have actually fallen either face first or knees to ground gettnig off of test track 4 times. It has gotten to the point where i actually warn the CM while I'm getting out. It's a tough step to get out of those cars.

I am so sorry that happened to you....That is so disgusting.

Gum in general is one of my pet peeves in the first place. It really bothers me when I see gum on the rides, seats, floor.....

My last visit (and all the ones before too) there is a huge collection of gum on Splash Mountain..I think everyone knows where it is. But it's gross, just a huge collection of different colored gum on the entrance way.

Eww yes I know exactly what you are talking about....and I havent even been there in 3 years and I STILL remember! NASTY! And btw this is the reason that the parks and MCO no longer sell gum...stupid people ruin it for everyone!

Oh really? I didn't know that, o well! We didn't noticed until we were at Mission to space and Mickey and Goofy were there, so DD wanted her Autograph book from my backpack. Ahhh i was so upset!

Thanks for you support guys.

Thanks Guys!

I know, gum is not my favo, we don't even buy it at all, candy something else is ok! But i don't want to start anything, but we saw lots of low-class, no manners people this time.

Sticking the gum anywhere is just disgusting.

Thats really horrible. I hope it didn't completely spoil your day. :wave2:

Thank you! Well, i was upset for a couple hours, specially for my hair, but DH was so nice and got some ice to make the gum hard, and managed to get most of it off. Then my therapy was to go shopping for a new shirt  and some other stuff.

I just hope i can get the gum off my shirt because it was new, i got it at the DD store the day before.

Now we know why they don't sell gum anywhere in WDW! Can you imagine how many rude incidents like this would happen if it were available??

I read a thread that the walls in splash Mt. are covered with gum every day when the park closes.

Exactly!! Thank God Disney don't sell it!

I just wish people put their gum in the trash can, or swallowed it! :p

OMG nasty!

I noticed that, but since we had fast pass didn't have much time to take a good look of it.

They do the same thing at Six flags, the last time i was there, like 4 years ago, it was gum all over the walls in Batman.

My boyfriend works for a company in Kansas City that manufactures water treatment systems. Gross, I know. Their main clients are big mfg plants and municipalities. BUT. They also designed and built the water filtration system for Splash Mountain at MK, WDW. Their biggest challenge? Dealing with gum. So you can thank Smith & Loveless, Inc of Lenexa, KS (suburb of KC) for keeping that Splash Mountain water free of disgusting gum. They can't do anything about that funky smell you get on your hands after you touch the "dash" in front of you, however..... :)

I feel sorry for the poor CM who has to take all that gum off the wall at Splash Mountain.

I know!! Poor them!!!! They should put a sign or something, but for nasty people that don't respect people or places probably didn't matter. Just like the smoking issue!
