Anyone have any experience or advice on this meal? We are thinking about the Friday night Lion King dinner. Is it a la carte or buffet or choice? What characters have people enjoyed?

Thanks!

Have a magical day!

We've eaten at Gullivers many times. You have your choice of ordering ala carte or buffet (each person can choose their own). As far as characters, the Lion King characters are Rafiki and Timon.

We have always enjoyed our meals at Gullivers. It has never been crowded while we were dining and the characters walk around and pose for pictures. My opinion is that it is a low key character meal compared to Chef Mickeys or 1900 Park Fare, but still fun nonetheless.

Timon and Rafiki appear on Mon & Fri, Goofy and Pluto appear on all other nights, correct?

I also read that Gulliver's Grill has a themed nightly buffet. For example, Fridays are a Key West Sunset theme. What are the other themes and on what days do they occur and what types of food are served?

Thanks,

I know at one time there was an "American Night" that featured foods like meatloaf (it is really good) and prime rib. "Italian Night" and "Seafood Night" were also listed. DH enjoyed the seafood night very much. Due to allergies I ordered the meatloaf from the regular menu and it was great. I love this place, breakfast was outstanding too. And the characters were neat, the restaurant is more laid back and less popular than other places. DD followed Goofy around after he had made rounds and he danced and played with her. It was much more casual feeling than other character meals, and I thought the food was much better.

Another "thumbs up" for this one. Good food, relaxing atmosphere. Unfortunately we can't go on the Timon/Rafikki nights because dd is still afraid of them but she does like to go on the Goofy/Pluto nights:D But we've always enjoyed the food and the service here! Highly recommended!

We ate there a few years back with Pluto and Goofy and really enjoyed it. It was only ala carte at the time. My husband really prefered this character meal over all the others. While I liked it, there are too many on our TO DO list to repeat this just yet.

Hi Disneygoof,

I've made 2 PS@Gulliver's @Swan for our trip in Nov. What I was told is that Monday, Wednesday & Sat., they have an American Buffet. Tuesday, Thursday & Sunday if an Italian Buffet, and Friday is a Seafood buffet Dinner Buffets are $25 for adults not sure what the charge is for children this is a character dinner but they may change characters when they have to.. I was going to make PS for Garden Grove which is Gullivers but called Garden Grove for Breakfast s, but when I called to make them I was told that they no longer do the buffet breakfast or breakfast at all. Hope this helps.

I booked Gullivers Holiday Buffet for Xmas dinner, the CM told me it is the seafood buffet, yet it falls on a Saturday....I guess I'd better call the Swan to verify the menu. The kids have asked for crab legs during the trip and the seafood buffet offers them, plus we will be staying at the Dolphin, so very convenient. If it is the American Buffet, back to the drawing board.
