We're spending a week on the Gulf Coast in late November.

Been offered various villas......but one of the areas is Spring Hill which I've never heard of ! The prices are extremely attractive... I've been offered £300 for a 3-bed villa including pool heat !!

Anyone have any info/advice? ...as to what there is to do/see/eat there?

It's about 10 miles North of Hudson/ New Port Richey from what I can see. My only worry is it might be out in the sticks...any help and advice would be welcome.

Thanks in advance

I don't know the area well at all, but we stayed in Crystal River a few years ago, which is further north again from Hudson. Having subsequently stayed in other Gulf Coast areas nearer Fort Myers, my guess would be that Spring Hill is probably one of the quieter areas.

Do you know any other Gulf Coast locations? What kind of area are you hoping for? We haven't stayed in the St Pete's / Clearwater / Sarasota area, but imagine these are the busiest resorts with lots to see and do. The quieter locations we've visited suit us, but may not have enough to do if you're looking for a lot of night life, etc.

If you do go to Spring Hill, then I would certainly recommend the Homosassa Springs State Park, which I think would be quite near to you.
