Having just come back from our first ABD (loved it!), I realized that the guides move around and can request (doesn't mean they get it) to guide certain trips. I thought it might be interesting to share a little about the guides for the trips from others as well as myself. They typically work every other trip- so with travel days included, they work 10 days on/4 days off for this trip.
We had Doug, from Ventura, CA and Pamm from Los Angeles on the July 23,2014 Arizona/Utah trip.
Doug was very well travelled and during the school year, takes groups of teens/pre-teen school kids on 5 day trips around California. He has done Wyoming, Viva Italia, Bella Italia and Arizona trips before. He hopes to do Winter Wonderland Wyoming this year and Ecuador/ Galapagos next year. He teaches the most- lots of facts given by him.
Pamm has recently come from the ships where she was in the DVC section, both welcoming existing DVC members as well as promoting DVC (don't worry, she doesn't sell on this trip!). She is coming back to the ships for DVC in the fall. Crossing fingers for our Fantasy sailing, I would love to see her again! She is interested in the western trips next year.
