Guidebook recommendations?

Hello all --

I have been looking through websites and the information is tumbling over itself and over me! I'm thinking I should get a guide.

I am going solo (first-time on site & with multi-day tickets) and would like a book geared toward the adult/solo traveler.

I saw Birnbaum's Guide for Adults, has anyone else read it?

I also saw the Unofficial Guide, but that darn thing is almost 800 pages! Holy buckets!

The trip reports are great; I've definitely learned alot.

I don't have specific recommendations for a guidebook geared towards adults, but I did buy both the Unofficial Guide and the Passporter.

The touring plans in the back of the Unofficial Guide are broken out by adults, families with children, etc. I know it's a big book...but I prefer that, the more info the better LOL.

The Passporter is the one I actually plan to bring with me to the parks. Again not adult specific but still a great book.

I went to Barnes & Noble tonight to check out the guides (and use my 25% off coupon!) and I did see 3 books geared to adults. The Unofficial Guide version, Birnbaum version and another that I can't remember.

I read a bit of each and was not impressed with any of them. I decided to get Birnbaum's Pocket Parks Guide instead (and it comes with a nifty FP holder too).

For me, it seemed to fit since many of my decisions are made and I was mostly interested in getting the parks done efficiently. I'll read more of it in the next few days and hope for the best!
