Has anyone gotten the Guide to Magic for Kids book? I saw it advertised in the allears news letter and thought it looked pretty cool. This year I made my niece a journal with pages from the creative DISigns boards, but this one looks pretty cool. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!

We got both kids a book of their own. The book seems really good. It starts off with tips for visiting WDW, then has a section with scavenger hunts: they can check off which color monorail they saw or rode, they check if they heard certain phrases around the world like "Please stand clear of the doors," and various other things they can look for. Then the book tells about each attraction with pictures, a brief description (including certain things to look for in the attraction), whether it is scary, and a space where the child can rate the attraction. After the book covers each attraction, there is a section where the child can journal about each day. It is really child friendly. The journal has an area where they can tell about the weather and temperature for the day by circling a picture of a sun, a sun behind a cloud, or a cloud with rain falling from it. Lastly, the book has a section for character autographs.

The book is a little heavy and I'm guessing about 11" x 8". If you carry a backback or bag in the parks, it would fit in those. It would not fit in a fannypack. Hope this helps!

Thanks for the info! It looks really great, I would have loved that sort of thing when I was that age. I'm taking my 10 yo goddaughter and I was going to make her a journal, but this one looks like more fun with the stickers and everything.

We are taking an extended family trip in June: DW & me, MIL & FIL, two SILs & BILs, and one child -- almost 7-year-old nephew. We got two copies of this book with the idea that each evening one of the adults could sit with Christopher and review the day, Christopher writing in his book and the adult writing in the other book. The first book would be for Christopher to keep, the second for Grammie & Papa.

The book itself looks GREAT!

We got this book for DD, she loved it. We took it with on our vacation, but left it in the room. Then each night we filled in the rides we did (I chose to put the stickers on the attractions if we visited) then we filled in the pages at the back about our trip days. It has GREAT pictures in the book.

We just returned from a trip and altho we do not have another planned (well, not officially Mommy is always plotting and planning another!) I was wondering about getting one of these for each of my little ones to help them remember and look forward to future magically times. Probably would give as Christmas present. I read ever word on their webpage and it all looks really good, glad to hear someone who actually has it says it is really good. The pictures are what I am after most as mine do not read yet but are already Disney fanatics!
