Will be heading to HHI for the first time in this timeframe. We have a 2 bedroom and there will be 4 adults, one 5 year old, one 4 year old and two 1 year olds.

Since we this will be the first time we have been to this resort, we are looking for recommendations for room requests (guessing we would like to be near the pool, as we will be carrying quite a bit to support the little ones), any special activities that may be going on at that time, and anything else you care to offer.

Thanks in advance!!

I would guess that with the little ones, the most important thing for you to decide is whether you want to be on the first or second floor. And if you want to be near the pool, go ahead and request that, too. Just remember that most of the poolside rooms are not right next to the parking lot, so you will have to bring all your stuff further. (There are large wheeled carts for this purpose.)

We have stayed at HH probably close to 20 times, and have yet to have a location we didn't like. The resort is not that big, so you're never too far from anything, no matter where you are.

As far as the activities go, you can try to call the resort directly and ask them to fax you a copy of the current activity schedule. It will at least give you an idea of what types of things are available, so you can see what you might want to do while you're there.

We have been to Hilton Head about a dozen times and have probably stayed in 8 different buildings. During our last three visits, we were in building 23. Check the resort map and you will find this building is a great location if you would like to be near the pool.
