Guide not returning call ?

Dh and I are very interested in a 100 point add-on at AKV and want to take advantage of the current incentive (developer points/gift card). We spoke to our guide briefly about our interest about 12 days ago. Then today, dh and I called a few times and left voice mails (as early as 8:10 am and as late as 4 pm). We left our cell numbers and everything and he never returned calls. Incentive ends tommorrow. Anyone have any idea how late guides will be processing add-on's tommorrow ? Sept 20 happens to be a Saturday and I'm not even sure if my guide will be there ? If we don't hear from him by, say 11 am, can I call someone else ? And who ? Don't want to miss out on incentives.

I have heard several times (including from my guide) that as long as you have contacted them and left a message that you wish to purchase then they will honor the offer that was available, even if it has actually ended by the time you speak to them.

You called 12 days ago and now you're following up on the 11th hour and expecting instant responses from a guide? Well, its your contract incentive that's on the line. I would not have left the follow-up for that late in the deal. Hope your guide sticks to his committment!
 
I can't speak for your guide but I called mine yesterday and he is going on a crusie starting tomorrow and will be out if the office during that time. I wonder if your guide may already be on a crusie.

My guide called me on Thursday as she was trying to contact as many of her folks as possible. She too is leaving on the cruise on Sunday. Since it's the member cruise, I'm sure there will be many guides on the ship. So anyone not contacting their guide this week, remember they may be on the cruise, so be patient. My guide thought the timing was bad since the sales start the same day the cruise begins.

We were undecided Disney Villain......when BLT was announced, we really debated what we wanted to do. Our guide told us, we had until "Sept 20" to add-on so we had NO IDEA that calling yesterday at 8 am would be an issue. Sorry if u can't understand this. Why wouldn't our guide have given us the head's up that he wouldn't be available a day or two before the incentive ended. We explained to him that we would be following up around this time and he never gave us any indication he wouldn't be available and he had the opportunity.
Disney Villain...our guide was well aware of exactly when we would be calling back and was fine with it. So "thanks" for your comment

Thank Kathy !!!!! We called the main DVC number and got someone named "Shaun". He was very nice and told us that Tim and most guides have been swamped with calls about AKV and BLT. He let me put another message on his voice mail and said to mention his name and that our request would be honored :thumbsup2

Guides don't work seven days a week, a few on Saturday and only a couple work Sundays. As other have said, as long as you made contact, the incentive will be honored.

What if the next deal is better? :eek:
 
Our guide, Tim, called right before I left for work on Saturday and we were able to do our add-on with incentives ! Just wanted to post an update. Thanks to all.
