i have all of my ADRs done but some of my reservations show up as 5 adults. We are 3 adults (son is 11) one child age 9 and and infant under 3. I've tried to go in and update the guests but when I'm done it still shows up as 5 adults. I know I can make sure that we aren't charged for 5 adults when we go to the restaurant but I don't want to have to go through it every time we eat. Is anybody else having the same issue?

From my experience, it seems like who’s listed on your party has no bearing on anything. The only thing that does matter is the “lead” person, for check-in purposes.

Once you’re seated, the server will determine the number of adults and children.

Exceptions: prepaid meals like CRT.

Edit: The person checking you in will likely ask how many adults/children.

Exactly as msb578 said. Unless it's a pre-paid meal or event, there is nothing to worry about. Simply tell them the make-up of your party when you check-in and you're good to go.

You can always call (407) WDW-DINE (939-3463) and they can make changes.

I used to be a server in WDW and it never mattered how many children or adults the reservation was actually for, the server will only charge you for the ages of the people showing up. What matters is that the reservation has the correct number of people on it so they'll have a big enough table for your group.

I have the opposite problem - my youngest who turns 3 next week, is showing up for some reservations as an 'infant' on the website. Will this mean they expect him to sit in a high chair? I made all the bookings at the same time and was clear he would be 3 at the time of the trip. Somehow we have reservations for "2 Adults, 1 Child, 1 infant", "2 Adults, 2 Children" and " 4 Adults", but all with the same group of guests assigned.

As long as the size of your party is correct, you won’t have any problems.

There was an issue a long time ago with one of my friends showing up as an "infant" on MDX and he is older than I am. They didn't make him stick to infant policies at the restaurant. He would not have fit in the high chair anyway.

I have this same thing happen to me. We are 2 adults and 1 child. Some show correct and some show 3 adults. It happened to us last year also. When I called about it last year and it has to do with the app. Reservations made on the app showed 3 adults, ones made on the website showed 2 adults, 1 child. It did not cause us any problems last year.
