Less than a month to our major two-family reunion at OKW. We are using almost three years of points to have two Grand Villas and a studio. The other family are our guests as far as the accomodations go. They will want to check in with their own credit cards. Will this present a problem as far as the "DVC Member" designation on the room cards to take advantage of the priviledges provided to members and guests?

By the way, we are celebrating 50 years of friendship. There will be 10 grandchildren in the group. We are just a little excited. It is what DVC ownership is all about!

You should put your guests name on their reservation and have them check-in themselves. That way they can use their credit card for the room and their room id's may be used for charging to their own card.

The resort will only allow one credit card per room however.

Have a great reunion and enjoy the GV! :)

Thanks, Doc.

I thought I read somewhere that a member had to be staying with a guest for the guest to be eligible for the member specials. That was my concern about putting the ressies in their name. I'll call MS tomorrow and discuss with them. Thanks.

Joe

Joe, that's technically true for the UMP discounts but otherwise members and guests of members should get the same benefits. In general, this restriction is not enforced. Your guests can check in with a credit card for a room, as noted, their name will need to be on the reservation. You cannot have 2 credit cards on one room however, but they will split it up at the end if you ask them to.
