Looking at the various scenarios that could come up for our vow renewal-at the outside we could have as many as 35 people or as few as 16. Since our date isn't until December 2011, I really can't ask people to commit to whether they will be there or not. Since it's a vow renewal we really hadn't wanted to have a Wishes event-is there any flexibility on the guest count for an Escape event if we utilize the Wedding Pavilion or SBP?

Last I was told, as I was thinking about having an Escape Wedding in Oct 2011 for 32 guests, is that the absolute limit is 30 guests. Anything above that is a Wishes.

We ended up going with a Wishes Wedding anyway because when we estimated the costs for everything with 32 guests, it came out to just meet the Wishes morning ceremony minimum.

I dont know if im maybe missing some news on the escape weddings but i thought the limit was strictly 20 including bride and groom = 18 guests?:confused3

Can anyone in the know fill me in please, Eve

Thanks Janna! I seriously doubt we would have even 30 and most likely it will be less than 20, but this gives me an idea on which direction to go!

SORRY! You are right Eve! My brain is not working today. It is a hard limit of 20 people (including bridal party)!

I was off by 10... Yikes!

Hmm-I thought I read on the boards here that you could pay an extra fee (I'm thinking $500) for over 20 guests-but I've looked at so many things lately, I could be wrong. I'll be talking with Michelle Gilhooly this afternoon and see what she says. I hate to be ruthless with the guest list, but I might just have to start whittling it down.

Thanks again Eve and Janna!

lol i was hoping i was wrong. Im wanting a couple over 20 ideally so this would have been a good thing!

Im 99% sure this has ended and you only get it if its already in your contract with Disney but for anyone without a contract its strictly 18 guests + bride & groom. Hope they change their minds and allow the extra 5 in the future :)

It's definitely a 20 guest limit (including the bride and groom) for an Escape Wedding. There used to be a clause where you could have an extra 5 people for $500 but unless you already have a signed contract with that stipulation in it you are out of luck. Disney has just recently taken that option away for Escape Weddings.
This has been making me sad because it is really hard to narrow down a guest list to 18 people.

We are at 18 people with just family-my sister (if she comes) takes up 6 guest "spots". We might be out of luck.
