Did anyone create gift bags or totes for their guests? If so, what did you include? And did you hand deliver them to the hotels (was there a charge for this?

I'm planning on doing these so I too would be interested in knowing the answers

I ordered plain canvas tote bags and then used an iron-on transfer design. We are including all kinds of small travel items - tissues, tide spot remover pens, sunscreen, etc and bottles of water and some snacks. We are also hoping to pick up lots of free maps and information about disney and the whole Orlando area. We are also putting a copy of the wedding activities itinerary in them. From what I can tell, we can leave them at the hotel desks and they will give them to each room when they check in.

I have been thinking about this too. For our vow renewal I think I'm gonna embroider some mickey totes (I have the disney sewing machine) and stuff them with sunscreen, snacks (granola bars and stuff they can take to the park), a list of wedding itinerary and contact numbers to get in touch with us, lanyards to carry park hoppers and hotel room cards in. Basic helpful stuff. I was thinking of doing separate gift bags for the children coming packed full of cool disney stuff. Princess stuff for girls, pirate stuff for boys. Just some thoughts. I do have a question about this though. Are ya'll doing 1 bag per room per couple, or 1 per guest?

I am doing 1 bag per family. If they have kids there are fun little things in there for them. I couldnt make 75 bags :rotfl:

Yep 75 would ba a whole lot of bags to make! One bag per family makes more sense. I would love to see if I could find nice backpacks to embroider mickey heads on. Is anyone doing tshirts to put in the bags?

one of the ladies from the Creative disign board did it for me. they have done several. if you look at my planning journal you will see more.

We used coolpromos.com to have our bags made. One of the wonderful ladies on this board helped us create the image and writing that was placed on the bags. We just forwarded the image to the company and they sent us the completed bags. They are beautiful. :thumbsup2 :wizard: We put an itinerary in them along with a bottle of water, snacks and since there were only a couple of children at our wedding, we gave each of them their own bag (they were siblings) and we put an autograph book and pen in each of the girls bags and a Pirates of the Caribbean watch in the 15 y.o. boy's bag. I think I have a pic of the bag somewhere... I'll have to look for it. :goodvibes
We tagged all of them with everyone's name and confirmation number. We went around and dropped off the bags at the front desk of the hotels and they distributed them when the guests checked in. ;)

I did some for my sister's wedding when I was the MOH last April, and now my other sister is making them for our wedding (she is the MOH.) I think that's normally whose 'job' it would be although my other sister, mom, and I are all helping. Here is a picture of the outside of them except she's going to put green and pink tissue paper in them since those are our colors.

Here are some of the things we're going to include:
tissue packs
pens
shout wipes
sticky notes
park maps
itinerary
snack food
granola bars and other breakfasty stuff
crystal light pocket packs
Mints in little love tins from Michaels
disney pins and lanyards
still thinking about what else

For the families with kids, we found TONS of cute Disney stuff in the dollar spot at Target. I'll try to take some pictures. They have little Disney princess purses, packs of crayons, gel pens, and little princess zipper pencil cases. We are also doing one bag per room, unless it's a larger family (4-5,) then we may give them 2 ;)

I know I already posted this, but I thought I would add it to this thread so all the welcome bag type stuff would be in the same thread!

These are for my friend, Tara.

She is going to have a Welcome Party at Chef Mickey’s two nights before her wedding. This weekend we worked on stuff for her little favor boxes for that event.

This is the Chinese take-out box we are using:
(And when I say ‘we’, I mean ‘she’ – I’m just making some of the stuff and helping her put everything together! According to her, I am the crafty one therefore I have to help her.)

Or this clear one:

If we use the clear one, we’ll use red and black crinkle paper shred stuff.

For the boxes and shred, we are using www.papermart.com

And this is what we are going to put in the boxes:

There’s a pair of beaded Mickey Ears:

One or two of these resin Mickey magnets:

We don’t know if we should put one or two in the boxes. I’m thinking two, but we’ll see!

A little tin filled with red, black, yellow, and white candy:

CandyTins.jpg

The tin in this picture has beads in it so we could get the effect of all the goodies together! LOL We were going to use just the colored M&Ms, but then thought that it would be really neat to use all different kinds of candies in those colors – Jelly Bellies, M&Ms, Lemon Heads, Red Hots, licorice of some kind… etc. We're also going to put one or two of those embroidered Mickey head scrapbooking stickers on top of the candy tins. Like these: http://www.bizrate.com/kidsarts_craftssupplies/oid516626607.html

This place has candy listed by color!!! http://www.groovycandies.com/

We are also going to add a sheet of Mickey Mouse stickers, a WDW post card, and Jelly Belly LolliBeans suckers (Jelly Belly brand suckers shaped like jelly beans!) to the boxes. http://www.candywarehouse.com/jellybellypops.html

We’re both really excited about these! And this isn’t even her official resort Welcome Bag! (We still need to work on those!) This is just the goodie box for her Welcome Party! Plus, it isn’t even my wedding and I am just thrilled that things are moving along for her!

I forgot to mention, we put park maps in each of the bags also. I just called our planner and let her know how many we needed. They were waiting at the front desk for us when we checked in. We didn't have to pay for them. It was great!! :goodvibes

Just got back from Target. Their dollar spot had lots of Disney things. I got Pirates small tote bags (decided to make these up for the boys coming), lanyards, notebooks (to use as autograph books, pens, punch balloons (got these at Dollar Tree), Princess gummies, coin purses, gel pens.

Gorgeous bags... I am expecting 100+ at my wedding.. Do you think I should do baggies... I think it will be so much money, or maybe I can find something reasonable...
