Yup. That’s how we got walked on during our ABD and the entrance we used for a multi expierence fastpass that was good for any ride in both parks.

It was interesting that when the CM separated us from the outside DAS line, he never asked me whether it would be okay to be in the regular line. Part of the reason for my DAS is to avoid certain chemical triggers, like strong perfumes or cigarette smoke on other guests. In this case, there were strong smelling guests ahead of us, but I was able to hide my face in DH's jacket. Next time we ride, I'm going to ask the CM if we can remain in the outside queue, just to be safe. If someone has a DAS because of claustrophobia or needing to avoid tight, crowded spaces, then speaking up when the CM comes by might be helpful. It's odd that the CMs don't ask when taking you out of line. We didn't know where we were going or I would have said something at the time. Just a heads up for anyone else who gets led out of the regular DAS line...

I totally get it. And I agree, they should ask. The CM is seeing it as they are getting you on the ride faster than thru the HA entrance. They don't always understand why a person may be in the DAS line, and they really think they are helping. They should be asking.

They're certainly doing a lot to make the most out of their "tight" circumstance. That said, eventually you're squeezing blood out of a stone. Yes, the Adventureland and FL space carve outs have helped. But DL is still super congested.

They should've built a third gate for SWL and Marvel. Yes, it wouldn't be right next door to DL and DCA. Big deal. At WDW, NOTHING is close to each other. Disney created a bus system there and they could do the same in Anaheim. But it's too late. Bad form, Disney.

Yes, CM was totally trying to be helpful and speed things along. I got the impression that they were scanning for mobility issues, and not much else. If they didn't see anything "obvious," then you were escorted directly to the turnstile and phased into the regular line. Might need to send Disney a comment about this now.

Thanks... that is a interesting read for sure.
There are so many little things you by can change and improve the overall guest experience...
I still wish they could paint some lines or change some brickwork to mark the waiting queue and make the wait for Harbour security less crazy...(clear waiting queues would really improve the situation there...)

We just went Saturday and the bag check lines now have metal switch-backs leading to a small area that splits into the lanes for each table. The center bag check is all blocked off. We were on the Disneyland side, I think the DCA side was the same, but not positive since I wasn't over there and didn't really think to look.

I'm glad to hear they're finally doing something about the security lines. Was this on the Harbor side? Was there a line in front of each of the tents or was there only one tent now with the center one blocked off?

I agree with you about 50%. DL park had not had a major new ride since Indiana Jones in freaking 1995. Yes, 24 years ago. Disney had to build another E-ticket at DL as it had been neglected in favor of DCA for a looooooooooooong time. So unless they wanted to put SWGE on the backburner (no chance of that!) it had to go into DL park. Marvel? Another issue and it does not belong in DL park so they are doing DCA for now.

I agree Disney needs to get serious now about a 3rd gate at DLR.

I see your point and it is certainly valid and reasonable. But I could also see some people becoming upset if a CM were to inquire about their issue. Some people might be uncomfortable discussing it and/or could become offended or embarrassed if they felt the CM was questioning the legitimacy of their issue or asking them in a public setting near others who might overhear. It could become a catch 22 situation for the CM.

This was on Harbor side. We got off the shuttle from Pumba (which was actually open for guests, yay!) and all the shuttles on that side were funneled into the right side bag check tent kick-backs. There was definitely one on the left side where Toy Story shuttle loads/unloads, might have still been two but I didn't notice. We mostly just walked all the way through the kick-backs until the part where the line split into 3 for the tables, but this was about 2:30 PM so not a peak entry time.

No need to inquire any further than to ask, "Would you be fine entering the regular queue or would you rather stay outside?" Simple as that. No privacy invasion at all.

They usually ask me "Are you comfortable walking a short distance, or would you prefer to stay in this line?" Depending on my knees that day, I can go either way. I know if the ride goes down, I'm in that line longer than expected.

That would have been fine -- I would have had the opportunity to ask which option would work better. Our CM just said, "Follow me!" At least it all worked out fine in the end.

The Rocket Rods were around for about two years. Two glorious years during which park visitors had as much as a 30% chance that the ride would be up and running on the day they were there. And those who actually rode it had as much as a 12% chance of enjoying the experience. Yet merely because they have been gone for 20 years and were a complete failure, people treat the Rocket Rods as a blip in Disneyland history that is best forgotten.

I remember standing in line for 2-3 hours to ride the rocket rods; I think the ride itself lasted all of 30 seconds. The acceleration was cool but then the abrupt slow down! It’s the only time I rode it; every other visit during its brief life it was closed.

Wow, it never occurred to me that Indy was the last major ride to open (and stick around) in soooo many years, man I'm old. I remember Rocket Rods when they came out as part of the Tomorrowland re-model. I loved People Mover so much more than Rocket Rods. The perfect hot day, leisure ride.
