Hi all... I am new to blogging and posting and would love to see what everyone is doing or done for their guest favors/Wedding Party Gifts. I feel as though since everyone is coming out to Disney to watch us get married I need to do awesome gifts...Anyone else fell like that...The fiance thinks something small will work but I dont.... So Far I have made DISNEY Photo Albums to include in the bag...

Well. I was going to post a picture but cant seem how to figure out how do so...:surfweb:sorry...

There have been a few Disney brides who gave out Mickey ears hats with everyone's names. They are sooo cute and you can take a great picture of everyone at your wedding wearing them. I know there is a bride who used them as place cards.

I think Raspberry Bubbles went to Goofy's in Downtown and got everyone mickey ears (you know the rice krispy ears) and put them in a bag with ribbons and printed sticker with their names on. It looked really cute and thought it was a nice touch so much so that I might steal the idea for myself!

you could make them really personal and ask what their favourite toppings (they will never know why you're asking) would be and get them dipped to their individual tastes!

I like the ideas of the ears too!

Hi, Welcome to the boards!

Personally I don't think I'm going to do favours, I've been to too many weddings where they're just left on the tables.

So I'm going to make a donation to a charity and let everyone know that that's what I've done for our favours.

By the way, I think you have to make 10 posts before you can add pictures.

I did mouse ears with everyone's name on them instead of doing welcome bags. I got them through my florist so it was less work for me. They were delivered to each resort and when the guests checked in, they were given to them. They were a big hit.

I'm not doing favors. but I am doing welcome bags that will have:
A handmade autograph book (maybe persolized, not sure yet)
A handmade photo album (just a small one that holds about 20-30 photos)
A reusable water bottle
A couple of ponchos (getting married in early September)
An oops pouch (advil, tylenol, hand sanitizer, bandaids, sunscreen)
A welcome folder (with information for the weekend)
Some other small things that i'm sure I'm forgetting.

For kids:
a coloring book and crayons
a stuffed disney character

We may put some cheap digital cameras on the table and offer to let people take them home (we'll copy pictures off at the reception) but we haven't found the cameras yet.

I did everything: welcome bags, door hangers, favors, thanks you picie dust favors for everyone and gifts for the party..etc. You can see everyting in my Wedding TR link below. Its the first post I think.

We did personalized mouse ears... which goes against my mantra of only giving useful favors, but it was fun to see the Disney haters wearing 'em!

We're going to hire a Charicaturist for the three hours and give everyone a silver postage tube with their name on, and ask the Charicaturist to do pictures of couples/families/individuals as their favour. That way they not only have a funky picture of themselves, but it's a great way to remember the day.

I had chocolate place cards and personalized MM tins as favors/stuff in the welcome bag.

However, the water fan and glow necklaces were the most appreciated. Everyone used the fans and kept saying how great they were to have as we roasted in the parks. The glow necklaces were just something fun and goofy for the dessert party. I don't think anyone really appreciated the place cards or MMs.

This is what I plan on doing as well. May I ask who you have hired?

I also plan on giving each guest a Selma's Cookie as a place card. My DF loves the cookies that you can buy at the parks and he wants to give them away, so I'm going to let him! Any way he wants to contribute! The only difference between getting them from http://selmas.com/ and buying them there is that the ones in the parks are labeled "Minnie's Kitchen" or something Disney like. Buying them direct with cut the cost in half per cookie! Plus I can have then delivered right to the resort, one less thing I have to transport!

Well we've not booked anyone yet, as we've got a while to go, but I've read that Disney can supply a Charicaturist for 3 hours for $585, so I think we#ll just be going with this. I've also seen a thread on here (not sure of the link - sorry!!) with alternative Charicaturists, so you may find something on there. :goodvibes

My daughter burned CD's of the music that was going to be played at the reception. I play it in my car all the time, it is one of my favorites. Everyone seemed to love it!!!! also, if anyone is interested there is also a silhouette artist from disney who will do silhouettes at your reception. Her name is Kathryn Flocken and you can reach her at Kathyart@earthlink.net. She has done many disney weddings.

I love the opps pouch idea.. I actually bought some sanitizer to give as well.. What kind of "Pouch" are you putting those items in.......
sanitizer being that my first Disney full marathon 2 days before I was in the hospital with the norivirus ... So I always tell people wash you hands! :thumbsup2
Thanks
Lisa

Thats is so cute....Are they photo albums? How many guests do you plan on...Congrats with only a week to go.. = )

::yes:: they are photo albums. We are having approx. 40 guests...I'm planning to give one to each married couple, and those who are single (individual).

I know, I still have more to do before I leave on Friday!

Cool idea. Where did you purchase the water fans and glow necklaces from? Thanks. :surfweb:
