Guest disability card?

Hi I need to get a guest disability card. Do I just go up to guest services to get the card? Also, Im not lying about getting the card. Im asthmatic and cant handle the heat, or Ill start wheezing and posibly get an Asthma Attack.

Who qualifies for these? My mom has artificial hips and is on oxygen. She really wants to do the Harry Potter ride. I am told that her scooter won't fit the queue line. We are not staying on site so won't have the benefit of early entry.

Thanks Metro West! And DonettaR, She would qualify for a card. But I have a question. Is she on oxygen tanks? If so,she is very limited on rides. If shes on tanks, she will only be able to ride the following:

Shrek
Terminator
Animal Actors
Barney
Curious George
Feivls Playland (except water slide)
Sinbad
Camp Jurassic (except Pterananodon Flyers)

the guest card is issued at guest services.

there are different levels/types of these cards.


you need to talk to a TM and they will assist you with the help you need.



the only thing i can say is, the guest card will be personalized for your needs.
you'll be able to enjoy your day in the park due to the added assistance.

thanks, it is a portable oxygen concentrator, she can be off of it while she is on the ride.

How is a Guest Assistance Card going to help keep you from having an asthma attack? If you are going when it is hot, but you say you can't handle the heat...how exactly is that GAC going to keep your asthma from acting up?

you have a valid point.

people that can't handle heat should think twice about the florida heat in the summer.

vacations are to be fun, not get you ill, or harm your health.

The guest assitant passes are now valid for up to 14 days. You used to have to get a new one each day.

You need to get it at Guest Services. This is how it works...you go to a ride like MIB and if the wait time is 45 minutes, they give you a return time of 45 minutes. You can then go to a restaurant, store, etc. and eat or shop while you wait for your time frame. That gets you out of the heat rather than waiting in line. It is like saving your place in line so you don't have to stand in the heat. You can't use the GAP card again until that 45 minutes is up. Then you can use it again at another ride. Wash-rinse-repeat.

Interesting - DH and DD are both asthmatic, but I never considered a GAC for them. We do go in the summer and they do fine with some planning. We do stay onsite to take advantage of Express Access - maybe that would work for you as well? We were able to avoid standing outside in the heat for lines, and we have been in June and July.

If your asthma is very severe, you might consider going at another time of year. GAC will not help with the heat when you are walking around the parks, at City Walk, from the parking lot, etc.
