Where are you all finding your guest books? Are any of you doing something different for you guests to sign?

Thanks! :wizard:

we got the wedding photo album off disneystore....it worked out great because it has those old fashion stick on corners for photos and blank pages....we had index cards (punched out castles and mickey heads) and left them out for people to sign on the way in....the best part is during our honeymoon we walked around with the cards and had a bunch of the disney characters sign an index card as well....So cute to think they all signed out wedding book

Our theme was "Under the Sea" (read The Little Mermaid :teeth: ) and we got one of the "Little Mermaid" lithos in the card frame from Art of Disney and had everyone sign that. Even Mickey, Minnie, Chip and Dale!

Over 2 years on and I still haven't got it framed properly LOL

I want to have our picture framed and have guests sign the matting. I'm also thinking about putting out a bunch of little cards with envelopes for the guests to write their own personal message and I will glue the envelopes into a scrapbook. If I just do the typical guest book I will probably end up making my own.

Sam that is so cute! I must get around to sorting out a guest book or something for my wedding!

Since we had an Intimate I knew there wouldn't be too many signatures so a book was out of the question. I scrapbook and I will make our wedding album, so I made a scrapbook page for the guests to sign. I decorated it in our wedding colors and a wedding/love quote from Shakespeare. I will insert it in the album once I make it. It came out beautiful and the guests all commented on what a great idea it was. It can be difficult, with an Initmate, to have all those sorts of traditions, but this one worked out great!

Thats the problem i will have, although im a custom - it is a small custom with only 26 guests - 4 of those being young children so i wont have many signatures!

For our engagement party - we had a picture of the two of us blown up. The picture was from Main Street with Tinkerbell in our hands. We took the picture to a craft store and had them mat and frame it.
It really is beautiful way to always remember this special day.

I just went to a wedding this weekend and thought they had a cute idea. They had a potted plant and inside were cut out flowers on sticks with pictures of the bride and groom as they were growing up and then they had engagement pictures for each person to take.

They had a basic sign in book.

We had a plate made. I had a woman paint a Mickey & Minnie in the middle of a white serving plate and everyone signed it with a special pen and then we had to bake it in the oven and now we can use it as a decoration or you can use it for serving food.
I love it.

That's a great idea :) I did something very similar for my bridal shower. I display the plate with the rest of our wedding items.

at the wedding i used a nice white scrapbook for our guest book & a signature matte which we framed afterwards.

for our engagement party though, my aunt made a wedding quilt with different color patches & each guest that came wrote a message with a fabric pen on a patch. its very sentimental to me. she also used iron on transfers & fabric to attach some photos of us as a couple & with family on the quilt.

We're going to get one of the newer style Disney autograph books that has room for pictures and use that. :)

We used an autograph book and one of those big pens that we bought at Disney when we arrived for our wedding. It's not fancy but it is really special to us!

You all have some awsome ideas! Thanks so much!

I was thinking of having a plate too! I thought I'd go to one of those "paint your own pottery" places and paint our initials on it...and then use it to have everyone sign. But, more than likely I'll end up going with having people sign little cards like some of you had done. I may decorate the cards by printing out pictures of my parent's wedding, my grandparent's wedding...and other family wedding portraits.

Since our date is close to Christmas, we're using a white Christmas tree skirt and having people sign it with Sharpies. We figured that we'd put away a guest book and not see it much, but we'll take the tree skirt out every year on or around our anniversary and have it to look at for a month or so!

I liked the pages that Mary626 showed in her trip report. She got them at this site. You may like to check it out. www.guestbookstore.com I'm sorry I don't remember what the site is like (I visited it a few months ago and bookmarked it), but I thought her guestbook was very cute when I read her trip report.

I did the same thing. I didn't think it was worth buying a guest book that we would never look at, but knew that I wanted to scrap our wedding, so did up lined pages beforehand (we had 200 people at our wedding, wasn't Disney, obviously!) and everyone signed it. Now, I just have to get around to scrapping our wedding book! I've started the Disneymoon scrapbook because it's way more fun! :rotfl2:

That's so funny - I've started scrapping our honeymoon first too! It's 2 parts, Disney and a cruise and I've actually started on the cruise first. I'm kind of scared to do the wedding and just want to make it so perfect that I don't know where to start :confused3 I've been scrapbooking for almost 7 years and I'm still so nervous to start "The Wedding Book." You're right, the honeymoon is way more fun! I'll get there though, I'd like to at least start before our 1-year anniversary, which is coming up so fast! I think having the signature page in the book will be really special, it's definitely something to look at for years to come.
