Hi folks, can anyone tell me about them? My Dh and Ds will be going to TNA the night before we check into RPR, that leaves me kicking my heels around the parks with my dd12 who has Down's for at least 3 hours. We've always used FOTL so I've never needed to look into GAPs before now.

What assistance do the passes provide?

TIA :thumbsup2

you would need to go to guest services and talk to the TM there.

Universal has the GAP.

The TM will issue it based on the need of the person.

they have different tiers of passes which are designed to meet the needs of the person/group. it will be one that is best for you.

disney does the generalized passes.
universal will personalize it more for the need of the person.

Several years ago, I went with a friend that had and electric wheelchair. We got a GAP, or something like it. Basically, it just gave us front of the line privileges. Usually, we had a separate entrace to use because the wheelchair wouldn't fit into the queue area. Also, the staff would give us extra time for her to get into the ride vehicles. They must have radios or something because the staff at the ride vehicles always seemed to know we were coming.

Don't know how it would work for a Downs kid. I know Disney is very accommodating to an autistic child. I would expect Universal to be the same.

The last time that I went to the park with a family member in a scooter, I was given a pass for the family room. I waited in the family room with the person in the scooter while the rest of the party made the line. When they got to the front they told the attendant and we were able to join. Men in Black was different. The first time we went on it we were sent to the family room and the second time we were sent right through the line. They said that Men in black is different because it is a newer building.

the lines will accomodate a regular "push" wheel chair but won't the ECV.

if you receive the GAP, it has other previsions for those using the EVC
