Hey Long time lurker, first time poster.
I was in the park on 10/6 and talked to the ambassador in front of Kong. I asked if it was gone for good, He said yes (though there is talk of it reopening just for christmas) and that it will be replaced with an indoor coaster with a MUMMY theme. the outside will be changed to the british muesum of history(even though, as the ambassdor even pointed out himself, clashes with the area themeing of new york) I would miss kong, but if they did this right it could be a worthy succsesser to the big Ape.
