GUESS What!!!!

THE HARPERS ARE GOING TO DISNEY.... My wife and I were on our way to take Abby (2 yr old) to Disney on Ice, and Abby was asleep looking cute. DW turned to me and said lets go to disney this winter. Now I had assumed I was not gonna get to take Abby until next Dec, but BOY did the wife suprise me.

And now Jennifer seems to be more excited about disney than she ever has before. My house is full of disney excitement. It is sooo weird to not be the only excited on in the house.

We plan to make this trip totally about Abby so that will be really different for me since every other trip has been about Me

Anyway we will be there the 2nd week of december (6 - 12) as usuall but we will not be staying at our usual home (the WL). Jennifer has always wanted to stay at Port Orleans - FQ. so we are gonna stay there this time

I just have to keep telling my self that it is not about me it is about us. MAN THAT IS HARD!!!!


Anyway I wanted to share my excitement!!!!

We are taking our DD, who will be 3, on her first trip this October. It will be so different having her along, but different in a GREAT way!

The Only thing is that we live 30 min from New Orleans so it will be like staying in New Orleans but in a clean NO with no drugs and trash and a big castle REALLY CLOSE

Your daughter will absolutetly love it. My DD has been three times and she is only 2 and 1/2. We went last September when she was two and she knew who all our "friends" were. The Pooh ride was fabulous, but it doesn't compare to the first time she saw Mickey (she was 14 months at the time). Her eyes got as big as saucers and her little hands were going. I think that when they are only two they don't think to be afraid of the big characters. All they see is Mickey and it is fabulous. Enjoy this first trip. Go at her speed and you'll discover things you've just rushed by before.

December is my favourite time of year to go as well. You'll love the FQ. It's a nice small resort. The walk over to Dixie is a really nice walk and the boat ride to DTD is great. My DD loved feeding the ducks.

Congratulations on your upcoming trip!! We usually go that week too and its a great time to visit!!! Weather is great (sometimes a little cool though) and there are no crowds!!! If possible, try to do MVMCP and the Candlelight Processional at Epcot! Both are great!!!

By the way, what part of Louisiana are you from? (I used to live on the Westbank and now live on the Northshore!)

We live in Ponchatoula and I see yall live in Bush so HI neighbor. Yes we have gone the MVMCP and the processional and we do them each time we go!!! I cant wait!!

DisLUV- we'll be at POFQ Dec. 5-11! Can't wait! 2 1/2 is such a fun age at Disney. We took both of our kids at that age and it is wonderful. Disney is so different with kids- better! To see WDW through their eyes and watch them with the characters- and to see the true innocence in their eyes- bring along some kleenex if you're like me!!!
You'll have a magical time! My children will be 3 1/2 and 5 1/2 this year- can't wait! This is our first dec. trip to get to do MVMCP!!!! See you there!

Great news. You will have such a wonderful time. We are taking my 5 y/o DD and 16 month DS for the first time. We are leaving in 10 days. We are so excited. I know what you mean about this vacation not being about you. It's all about the kids. Enjoy it b/c they grow up too fast and before you know it they won't want to be seen with you! LOL!!! The first time we went our youngest daughter was almost 2. She loved it annd we did too seeing all their faces. It will be very special. She slept in a trundle bed (we are 5 people). It was perfect. Great pool....
