Beauty and the Beast!!

We got new music the other day, and pretty much all of the flutes and clarinets were begging our director to let us play something disney. He was like "well we do have a really nice arrangement from Beauty and the Beast..." so now we get to play it! Sorry I'm just excited because that's my favorite disney movie ever

Now band would be perfect if only we didn't have to have the student teacher... she will NEVER succeed as a band director

Our Spring Selection is some song called Ritmico, with a HUGE trumpet part(go us!!!) We are also playing a version of Ode to Joy. It's pretty kewl but not that big of a trumpet part (bummer)

i guess we had a student teacher..there was some girl that was watching our class last week

our music is really really hard! we are playing Dance Movements(its awesome though! some of it can be heard on the Pearl Harbor DVD somewhere...not sure where though..i think the docmentary) all the other band directors think we are crazy(the last movement by itself is a 5 on a scale of 1-5 with 5 being the hardest and there are 4 of them!) for playing it but i think it sounds really good! and it sounds realyl cool b/c we have a piano,harp,cello and bass...never played with those instruments b4!
