( no clapping smilie, this is as close as I could get) Good for you!! Should make a fun memory to recall years later
We didn't make opening for any park this last trip (first week of Dec.). We slept in every day and took it easy. On our day to AK we all wore matching Disney t-shirts and I had a secret hope of being picked to be in the parade (I'd read you don't have to show up right at opening to be picked). We weren't picked to be in the parade but what happened my kids enjoyed even more, I think. We arrived to the Tarzan show about 20 min. early. We had not yet seen this show, always missed it somehow. A CM asked if my kids would like to do a "Tarzan yell" up at the rail at the beginning of the show. In the Tarzan show at
Disneyland Paris, about 30 kids are asked to go up and bang pots and pans during a part of the show - so I thought about 20-30 kids would be doing a "tarzan yell" up at the rail. So we smiled and said yes but didn't feel extra special or anything. Next thing you know, we are moved to prime seats (skaters skate right in front of you), kids are given magical moment certificates declaring them "King and Queen of the Jungle", a free happy meal coupon for each child and a frozen treat of their choice after they did their yell

! DH videoed us at the rail, while the CM announced my kids names and had us yell into the microphone while a spotlight shines on us. Special indeed

. I have never read or heard about this so it came as a total surprise so I enjoyed it all the more. My wish is for every vacationing family to get a "special moment" whatever it may be. If it doesn't happen this vacation, perhaps next. My kids have never recieved a certificate before, even though we have celebrated birthdays at Disney ect., somehow we were overlooked, this just came out of the blue. I am going to frame their cert.s for their rooms
