bookit is offering a $49 rate for a "DTD 3 star hotel".
You pay, then you find out which hotel it is.
I'm assuming by DTD they mean one of the big 7.

Here's the amentities:
2 queen size beds
coffe maker
fridge
microwave
25" TV (note: doesn't say flat and most of the remods have flat)
free continental breakfast
iron and ironing board
fitness center

A couple of the DTD hotels have 2 doubles not 2 queens. None say they have microwaves.

I'm wondering if bookits DTD hotels might extend to ore than the 7 .

Can anyone figure out which hotel this might be?

went to the next step

got this

'Located just moments away from Downtown Disney® Rates too low to publish hotel name! '

it is not stating free transportation to WDW - which the DTD hotel offer

thanks Spicey...wondering then if this is the newly remodeled Ramada that's over that way?

Hey Marshel...I think you've found it...went to their website and everything is a match to the Bookit description.

In the meantime, Hotwire is advertising a 3 star for $29 near Celebration.
It says its 3 stars are like Doubletree and Holiday Inn, but then, 'like' has different meanings when you're dealing with the travel industry. Of course, we'll most likely only be sleeping in it, especially if we spend the day visiting BIL.

If anyone else takes Bookit up on this other offer tho...do let us know!!!

It could be the Extended Stay Deluxe on Palm Parkway. It has the amentites you posted..
I believe the beds were queen..fridge is a full size.. but hotel is not a 3*

The 3 star near celebration is probably the Raddison Worldgate (which alot of 3 star priceline winning bidders will claim is not worthy of a 3 star rating) or the Ramada Celebration Hotel. I use Hotwire quite often on my WDW trips in conjunction with the Better Bidding website, http://www.betterbidding.com/index.php?showtopic=67&
I open my Hotwire search results in one browser window (or tab) and the better bidding site in another. It's not infallible, but a lot of times you can match up amenities and figure out which hotel is being offered. The Country Inn guess was off the top of my head remembering them offering $49 dollar specials a lot before the latest current tourism boom (which is now apparently over) and going to their website and seeing all the amenities matching.

I got a supposed 3* on hotwire in June for $36. It said near Celebration. It turned out to be the Ramada Orlando Celebration Hotel & Convention Center. Formally, the Orlando Sun Resort. Someone else had won it for later that month for $29. I don't know how their stay was, but ours was terrible! Nasty smelly rooms (the 1st 2 rooms because I immediately asked to change).. then I spoke with the manager and she moved us to the front building, which was like a totally different place. The back buildings, you could smell the mold as soon as you opened the door leading to the corridor. The front building had no unpleasant smell at all.
Their front desk clerks were a joke! I had to insist on seeing the manager. Though the manager was very nice and friendly. She gave us vouchers for free breakfast the next morning, but when dd and I went to the breakfast area, there were fruit flies feasting on everything. We just left.

We were only there one night, and as I said, the room we finally wound up with was good enough. The hotel is NOT a 3* though. The lobby was the only thing that was very nice.. very misleading.

For this reason, unless I'm pretty positive which hotel I'm getting, I won't be buying on Hotwire anymore.

Country Inn LBV was running a special on Travelzoo for $49/night last week. I think it was good through the end of September.

We won the Ramada Celebration for $36 on Priceline, stayed 7/25 for one night. After reading Anc96's posts I had been quite concerned. We could not have had two more different stays.

We were in 3402 "Orange Blossom" building. Our room was fresh, with no hint of mold or mildew. New paint, carpet, and vinyl wall coverings and tile in bath.
The negatives do include a saggy king mattress, lack of elevators, and the small tiled shower (no tub). I had thought with Priceline we might face I-4, but our room faced the pool.

This hotel is very close to WDW, and I think might fit the bill for budget trips. There are some very low internet rates available.

We also had very good treatment by front desk personnel.

So reviews will continue to vary on the Ramada Celebration!

For one night, I can handle most anything but try not to go below 3 stars using PL or Hotwire. The 'only 1 bed guarantee ' thing is tricky too. So here's what happened yesterday:

We ended up getting a great deal on tug for Bonnet Creek. A deal so good that I'm going to cancel my OKW ressie and just stay there all 6 nights of our trip. Can't beat a 2/2 for an OKW studio...Sure, I'll miss my welcome homes, but with DVC card can 'visit' any resort I like anyway.

BC is great if you have a car and don't have to depend on their ridiculous shuttle system. The units are so nicely furnished and I like the thought of the lazy river.

Sometimes plans just change...looking for 2 nights pre OKW and end up with 6 nights at Bonnet Creek.

WIth the 'savings' added a birthday splurge at V & A.
Life is good!

I'm thinking this sounds like the Country Inn and Suites LBV.

I doubt it would be one of the one's on Hotel Plaza BLVD.
