Guess how much I saved with DDE in 7 days?

Thats great!! We figure we will have no trouble making it payoff for us as well! :D

I'm back, and I see the experts have been answering the questions. The one that is not answered is how I managed to spend so much on food in just 7 days.

We did spend a lot more than usual because there was a group of nine of us traveling following my daughter's wedding, (from Sweden, Wisconsin, Virginia and Pennsylvania!!) and my husband and I picked up the tab quite often.

For instance, our final dinner for nine adults was at Jiko, complete with wine, appetizers and desserts. It also included one dinner (for three of us) at V & A.

I also used my Disney Visa rewards for some of the meals, so not only did I get 20% off with DDE, some meals were "free." Even with all that, we still have some unusually hefty bills ahead, but everything was perfectly wonderful - nine very happy travellers! I wish I were going back SOON!

i read the list of restaurants that the DDE card is good for and noticed that alot of MK counter service were not listed (or i just missed them) like pecos bills and casey's as well as the bakery on main street... does anyone know?

I'm curious about the "adult beverage" part also with DDE. If I understand correctly, I could walk into the Rose & Crown pub and show my card and get
20% off my pint of bass? :drinking1 Don't get me wrong, I plan on using it for food also, but just wondering if it would work in this case? Thanks, from a distraught Jets fan! :sad2:
Yes you can walk into the pub and give them your card. The pub is on the list!
Signed, A very happy Steelers fan :smooth:

Cinderella-My DH and I are like you two..we spend BIG when we are at WDW...appetizers, multiple cocktails, dessert at every dinner...it is easy to spend lots of money while dining! BTW...gotta give you a compliment...neither of you LOOK like you eat very much!

wildernesslodgelover - Thanks for the compliment! We both owe it to good genes and some exercise! My friends tell me that once I hit thirty, kiss it all goodbye! We're both pretty active - I'm a first grade teacher and I run after 20 six year olds all day. My fiance is in Finance but he's an avid golfer and walks whenever he can. We adore food, especially in WDW. We stuff ourselves silly. Drinks aren't bad either...

You didn't "miss them" The DDE is honored at relatively few counter service locations. Originally, the DDE was available only to FL residents as an incentive for them to visit the parks for a nice dinner and on special occasions with business associates and friends, hence the lack of counter services eateries accepting the card.

You will note that since AK, All Stars, Coronado Springs and Pop Century have no full service or buffet restaurants, it is honored for counter service at these locations.

thanks for letting me know... looks like the dining plan might be better for us...
