Going next month & first experience with Guardians of Galaxy. From what I understand, it’s both on Virtual Que & ILL? So we can try for a virtual que & purchase an ILL, thus allowing to ride it 2x in one day?

Second question - with DAS pass, could I ride with virtual que & then another time without purchasing ILL, but with DAS?

Hope that makes sense. Thanks!

Yes, it is possible to ride twice - once with VQ and once with ILL$.

To use DAS, you show that when your boarding group is called. Everyone must have received a boarding group by one of the above methods. You cannot get a regular DAS Return Time because there is no standby at this time.

Think of it as there are two lines, you must obtain one or the other in advance.

They are the Virtual Queue that takes you through the regular longer queue (same as if it had Standby, it does not) and the Lightning Lane queue (same as when there was FP+). You have to obtain one of the two queue lines in advance.

If you obtain a VQ time then when you arrive you show them your DAS and they will convert the VQ to a LL pass and you proceed to the LL. If you obtain a LL, you won't need to use your DAS just proceed direct to LL.

Tried to get on today exactly at 7 and not available? This has now happened several times ( live close, come over to WDW 1 or 2 x’s / month). Is there some preference for large tour groups, etc that get priority?

I don’t know the answer to this, but I’ve seen on Touring Plans that this week has been extremely busy.

It's February/President's Day vacation week. It must be mobbed at the parks right now!

Yes, it is the week of Presidents' Day which corresponds with a week-long school vacation for much of the north east. It also collides with Mardi Gras this year, which is a common school vacation time for many in the south east. I heard that Genie+ "sold out" at least two days earlier this week -- which is a first. However I think theme park reservations have been available so it's hard to say how crowded it truly is.

The same thing happens whenever it’s busy - the Virtual Queue fills up within seconds of opening at 7.
There is another opportunity to sign up for Virtual Queue at 1pm, but guests need to be in the park for that
