Do you know if you were assigned a noisy room on a gty status if you can ask for another room? Please, please say YES!!

Sandy,

Did you get a noisy room? On your cruise I doubt it. But I hope it works out. Go buy that noise machine. LOL

You can ask, but it might not happen; it would most likely be based on whether someone else has cancelled or a room in your category is available for some other reason. That's the risk with a guarantee. And if it's an upgrade, you're pretty much stuck!

Thanks Selena. Guess I will have to go get one!

Thanks for responding Barb. Do you know why 2000 is considered a noisy room? I am feeling better about it. Someone sent me a link to a site where other people couldn't understand why it was considered noisy and that they would stay in it again.

Sandy,

Sounds like maybe it won't be a bad cabin after all if you end up staying there.

Just wanted to let you know that we were able to get the location on one of our rooms changed on the May repo.
We booked two rooms and ended up being assigned on different floors.
I did have to speak with a supervisor at DCL. She started to give me the "when you book a gty you take what you get" spiel, but when I told her that I was given no other option BUT gty at booking she agreed to see what she could do. We ended up with rooms in a GREAT location and right across the hall from each other.

Good Luck

Sheila, thanks for making me feel better. I have ended up relaxing a bit after a lot of help from this board.
