Grumble, grumble

I didn't understand how travel agents worked, so I made my Disney reservation through one. She has been helpful, but now I wish she hadn't made them, since I now can't talk to Disney about them at all.

She's doing a fine job, but if I want to call and check for codes, etc, Disney won't talk to me because they don't "own" the reservation.

SO, I've got AKV, no free dining, because it's not offered there. The AKL club level rooms are full already (what we'd decided to do as an option). I didn't even know I wanted that until today. But I can't call and check frequently, because I didn't make my reservation.

The TA has nothing to do with this, I know, control freaks should handle their own business. (sigh)

Thanks for indulging my grumbling.

You could always book it yourself if it opens up as another new reservation. Then just cancel the one with the TA. If you feel guilty about it, you can always have the TA transfer the new reservation to themselves after you have it all set up the way you want it.

The CM I just spoke with said he couldn't have me "double booked" and I'd have to cancel with the travel agent first, before he'd even help me.

I suppose I could book online, then call and see if I could attach free dining, then if I can, cancel the original and transfer the new to my TA.

It would be helpful if you could put codes in online.

Or, I just trust that my TA did the best she could, suck it up, and have a blast at Disney, paying what I'm paying.

When you call disney you dont need to use your reservation to check for codes. You call and say check my name please. If you're talking about general codes, you dont even call disney, just look on their site. If you get a pin and thats what you're calling for, simply call the TA and say you got one, please call disney and try and apply it.

Having a TA or not wont hurt or help your chances of you calling on your own.
