I had my DD10 help me pick our ADR's and plan our entire trip. She is a total Disney junkie like me. We had a blast doing all the planning. Anyway, she looked at the menus for 50's PT and SciFi. She chose 50's even though on our last 2 trips she wanted SciFi and it just didn't work out for various reasons. Now today she tells me she never wanted 50's she wants SciFi :scared1: We are 33 days away from the start of our holiday. Can you believe it ?

tried searching online. There's at least on lunch spot on 8/30 and a couple on 8/31 and 9/1. Those are for two people.

I've been online at least 5 times already today. We have to have dinner and it's for 4 people on Sept 2.

Not sure how many are in your party but I checked for 4 people and it showed nothing, and then I checked for 5 and it showed me 4:40pm and 7:10pm.

Yes, check for 5 people. I am going later in Sept. and nothing was available for 4 people, but when I put in 5 people, I had my choice of times and could pick between lunch or dinner.

Yes, do as PPs suggest! I had to do that when my mom told me she wanted Raglan Road later in the trip and nothing was showing up for 2 people anytime around 8PM... only time all night was 5:45PM :scared1: I chaged it to 3 people and got exactly 8PM :thumbsup2

I don't want to start any debate but...is it OK to book for 5 when were are only 4??? Since we have never eaten at SciFi I don't know exactly how the car seating is. From photos it looks like you sit in rows of 2 and the cars have 3 rows. If you are a party of 4 and only using 2 of those rows do they fill the 3rd row ??? If that's the case I wouldn't feel bad about booking for 5 as someone would be able to score a walk in.

I saw that 7:10pm but it might be a little late for us. I'm really not sure about it. I'm tossing around the idea of doing lunch but again I'm not sure on the timing. Dinner is so much easier.

I wouldn't worry to much if you book one more person and then show up with one less you will still be seated. It may take a little longer for a smaller table (car) to become available. Other people will be showing up with more or less people than when they booked the ADR's also.

My family and I ate there...took two rows and they filled the last row with a party of two. It was no problem...

I think at Sci-Fi it wouldn't be a problem. It means you will only fill two rows of the car rather than three, freeing up a row for walk-ups, which they will most certainly have. Unlike other restaurants they won't be having to switch you from one table size to another. :goodvibes

Last trip we often turned up with less than we had booked for. We were a group of 11 and all had intentions of eating together all the time. But there were times when someone was not well or too tired to go. It was never a problem.
