grrrrr PINS

If you figure it out, for the love of Mickey, don't post it here!

Actually, there's the rub...no one knows how they happen. It's like seeing the reflection on a Doom Buggy for the first time. It just happens...

Well you learn something new everyday!! :)

Just to be nosy, how much of a discount do you usually get with the pins?
As you can see in my signature, I'm not only the VP of Marketing for the Never-Never PIN club, I've also never received a PIN. Someone will soon chime in with wisdom on the discounts.

I've had a few random PINS for DL, but they're never for times I'm planning on going or are too short notice for my BFF to get off work!

I think they send pins to those of us who can only dream of staying onsite. We stayed at the GCH several years ago. Two more kids and a lot of life changes later, we mostly just dream of Disney. When we do go, we stay offsite. But.... I get a lot of pins. I think they are just teasing me.

ETA: I do look at the Disney website and price things out, just for fun. Maybe they are watching me...

I was the one who first posted about the PIN code trick several years ago (on this forum). At that point, there was a very specific way of getting one, and it worked for me and some other people. However, since then Disney changed the layout and format of their website -- and they caught on to all of the people saving hotel rates and trying to get PIN codes, or PIN codes going to waste and not being used -- and then they changed the way they send them out. They are not as free with sending them out anymore. Lots of us no longer get them. Also, their attendance has gone up and more people are going to stay onsite anyway -- so there is not as much need to send out promo offers.

It was nice while it lasted.

We get pins all the time, but it's almost guaranteed we'll never stay onsite, again, for financial reasons.

We stayed at the PP on my brother's Wish Trip in 2012, and I think that Disney out-Disney'd themselves on that one, and that a normal stay onsite wouldn't even compare. The service was ridiculously amazing.
