I know what you mean about feeling better about yourself at DL. My husband and I went this last December at heavier weights and it definitely took something away from the trip. So I understand what you're talking about.
I've lost 70+ pounds 3 times in my life, but this recent weight loss journey after my second son, and at 30 years old and a "sitting all day" job, my weight loss hit a screeching halt for 2 years now. I had about 30 pounds to be at my happy weight.
My husband and I took the leap recently to try Medifast, and it's worked better than anything I've ever done (Atkins, Insanity workout, more exercise/eating better). I've lost 15-18 pounds in two months, and my husband has lost 32!! It requires strict eating of their foods, but I am happier and feel healthier on this diet than I've been on any other. It makes you face your eating problems head on, but you get motivation for that battle by seeing rapid weight loss. It's GREAT, and maybe something you might be interested in. It takes a lot of willpower to get through the first week though.
Anyway, I hope you feel better!
