Grrr... missing present!

I was able to use the $10 Disney coupon to buy Up for cheap... I bought it, left it in the Walmart bag and put it in my stash in the closet. I have torn the closet apart 3x now and I cannot find it!

At Least I didn't pay full price when I find it in July! I swear it walked away, there was no place left unturned.

Have you checked your TV room? . My DH's family loves to tell the story of MIL coming home early and finding DH wearing the gold chain (yes, in the 80s), that he was supposed to get for Christmas.

I lost a DVD I just bought, too. I have been wanting to watch it the last couple of days, too. I have not torn apart my closet yet, however. Not looking forward to that. Good luck finding it!

I'm missing a $50 twilight bracelet I bought off of ebay, which dd13 has wanted for over a year now. I won't buy a new one, because if and when we find it, I don't know what I'll do with it!

I was missing a random stash of gifts. Normally I keep everything in the basement in the luggage but since we went to WDW 2 weeks ago and needed the luggage, I had to find alternate spots. They finally turned up (along with a few things I had forgotten about) in a random box a few days later after pulling apart all the closets. I also was missing a clearance Wii game I had grabbed the one day. Turned up in my mom's stash of gifts at her house. She found it when she was wrapping her stuff. Good luck, hopefully it turns up!

I hate when that happens. I always find it (A) after I buy a replacement (B) when I no longer need/want it.

My DH loses gifts all the time. One Christmas I asked where a certain gift he bought me was. I was with him when he got it. He said he did not know. He rebought it after Christmas, on clearance. At Easter he found the original, so now I have two. It is something that is used up, so not a problem.

I have had him bring me other gifts at odd times of the year. He will tell me he got it for me for Christmas and then lost it. He hides stuff so I cannot find it. I am not a snooper so I am not sure why he thinks he needs to hide the gifts. All he does when he hides them is prevents himself from finding them!

Oh no! Good luck! We still laugh about the missing 'pound puppy' from when I was 5 or 6 and those were popular. My grandmother bought me one, hid it and we NEVER found it.

I have already lost one of DD's presents this year. Of course, I feel certain that I didn't lose it, but that DH must have been the culprit. It was a game for her Nintendo DS. I went and bought a replacement yesterday, so I'm certain to find the original now.

Reminds me of that scene in "Christmas Vacation" when Chevy Chase is hiding gifts in the attic and finds old gifts he has to blow the dust off of!!

Seriously, I do this every year and Christmas Eve have to rack my brain to find some of the Santa gifts!!

Check inside bags. I have "lost" gifts before and find them stuck in a bag that had another gift in it.

OMG! My DH is, at this very moment, frantically trying to find the gift DD bought for me and he stashed somewhere. I can't figure out whether to help him look or not. He is totally freaking out!!

Have you checked the trunk of the car & under the seats? I found a CD that went missing in November shopping cleaning the car in April. I'm not commenting on the length of time that area wasn't cleaned

I had to chuckle because I too had several "missing" gifts when I was wrapping last weekend. The frustrating part was that the receipts were in my receipts envelope where they should be so I knew they had to be SOMEWHERE.

This is definitely a hazard of my "Shop and Shove" system when I am hurrying to put things away before getting the kids from school. LOL

Thankfully the last MIA gift was recovered on Monday night!! It wasn't in the closet that I searched a half dozen times... so you might want to try somewhere other than the closet for your search. I was certain it was in the closet. Once I found it I was like "ah hah" this was a great spot. : )

Oh yeah, I've done this too. Recently I got a box of chocolates from one of my students who went to Mexico for a visit. I hid it so my kids wouldn't eat it all and now I can't find it anywhere! Hubby says it's karma paying me back for not wanting to share.

A couple of years ago I lost a gift card that we had bought for my son. Found it months later in a wad of grocery bags I had brought to school for dirty diapers. Went to throw the diaper in and there it was!

Ours is the family joke of what gift will turn up later in the year.
Every single year something is AWOL.
Check drawers too, car between seats. I found the Christmas cards there one year months later. This years cards I printed at Walmart and still cannot find them
I am just trying to think what I ordered online and where is it?

I know how upset you are- last year I lost a $40 GC from Applebees I had bought for a gift for MIL and FIL. I never did find it.
