Grrr...anyone else having problems getting membership with Hotwire Savings Club?

Grrr...just needed to vent! Last week I signed up with hotwiresavingsclub.com and ordered vouchers plus a 6 day hopper plus for my MIL for our trip April 27th-May 4th. Well, the next day they called me up and asked to verfiy my billing address. We had recently switched our P.O. Box address to our home address and had yet to let AMEX know. Because our mailing address for AMEX did not match our billing address (home address), hotwire cancelled my account!! Needless to say, I didn't realize it until yesterday when I called to confirm this!

Anyways, so today I go to get a new account with a different credit card (that has mailing and billing address the same...just in case)...and the website won't let me submit my membership information!!! I've called their 1-800 # a few times and explained but all they keep saying is that the website must be down. AGHHH!!! I really wanted to get this squared away today as each day is cutting it closer and closer for us to get everything in the mail!

Send me some pixie dust...please!

I know it's aggravating - but they are actually doing you a favor by making sure someone isn't trying to use your Amex w/o your approval!

I signed up Saturday a.m. with no problems - although I haven't ordered yet!

Here's hoping it will come up and work for you ASAP!!:D
 
Are you getting an error 7090 when you try to sumbit your info? If so, I had this problem last week and nobody at the 800# could help me. I finally had to use my work address and it worked. I had previously had Connections at my home address. I called them the next day to switch my address to my home address, they still couldn't explain the problem, but it *seems* to be worked out now. If not, I'll let you know at the end of the week. I ordered vouchers last Thursday so I should be getting them at the end of this week.
 
No error code is coming up...nothing happens when I click on the "submit" button after entering in my information!! :confused: I've tried a number of times through the afternoon and evening...and still no luck!!

Okay - Now I'm with you!! I joined fine - but I've tried several times this a.m. to order some gift cards and keep getting an error message. So I finally call and order it over the phone - but when I asked about getting the $10.00 back they tell me I have to buy from Hotwire.com - not Hotwiresavingsclub.com. I printed up the certificate that you're supposed to mail and it doesn't say that anywhere. Why would they put a $10.00 rebate for ONE site on a completely different site? That really annoyed me. From what I've read here it seems to me ya'll got your $10.00 for the purchases you made through the savings club - not for travel purchases.

Anyway - I guess I'm not going to worry about it - but it's aggravating!
 
I've had problems placing an order yesterday and today. I haven't tried calling the # and doing it that way but I keep getting errors when placing my order on the web site. It's quite frustrating over just a couple of extra VKL vouchers! :rolleyes:
 
Finally!! I just got off the phone after ordering everything! It wouldn't let me put my own name and information in today, but it took my husband's so I just went with it! After finally getting his membership number and loading my cart with the stuff I needed, it gave me an error message concerning checkout and said to return later!! AGH!!

That's when I gave in and called...they said that their computers were down (are they EVER up??) but I was able (surprise, surprise!) to order everything over the phone without difficulty!

WHEW! That is a big relief...now to just get them and hold them in my hands! ;)

Isn't that interesting! I did go back and reread the rebate stuff, it does say $10 rebate for your first purchase on Hotwire - I just assumed it was all the same thing. I mailed my rebate form off this week, I wonder if I'll get it, because it was for a giftcard purchase.
