GRR FPs?

What's the latest with GRR FPs? Are they still using all the machines for WOC until later in the day? I am hoping, since WOC FPs don't run out until later in the day now, that they don't wait to switch over until WOC FPs are gone.

They only use A FEW of the GRR FP machines to distribute WOC FP's. There are still plenty of GRR FP machine to distribute regular GRR FP's

A ha! So am I correct then, to assume that one can get a GRR FP at any time during the day rather than having to wait until 1:00 as was the case last summer?

I'm actually surprised that you had to wait until 1:00 PM last summer to get a GRR FP? That was not my experience last summer? I usually like to be ON GRR around that time when it's nice and hot.

Hmm. Maybe I am thinking of 2010? (Is this when you realize you've been to DLR too many times, when they all start to blend together?) I recall that they used to use all of the GRR machines for WOC, and would then switch them over to GRR later in the day. That usually didn't happen until after noon, but there was no specified time, so if you wanted a FP for GRR you'd have to keep checking back to see if they were available yet. Not too convenient.

ETA: Wasn't it summer 2011 when DLR guests got the two extra FPs for each member of their party? I recall the CM letting us use those in the FP line even though we couldn't get an FP yet because the machines hadn't been switched over.

Yes, that was the frustrating part. You could get on with a short line early when it was too cold to be soaking wet, or you could stand in the standby line for 60 minutes at noon, or wait until later in the day and get a FP that had a return time after dark.

LOL I think we're both just the perfect amount of crazy. Yes, last summer (2011) was the two free FP's for staying on-site because I stayed at PPH? It's entirely possible that I didn't actually try to get a FP prior to 1 PM at GRR and maybe that's why it wasn't my experience lol!? I just know that the several times when I went to get my WOC FP's last year, only 3 out of the 6 machines (I think 6) were being used for WOC, the rest were for GRR. YES you are right that in 2010 when WOC opened, they had all the machines dedicated to it in the morning and then some switched over to GRR in the PM.
