GRR Fastpasses and new WOC schedule

Just wondering with the new WOC schedule what time GRR fastpasses were back on line....(minute planning as a distraction, trip in two weeks)

Yes , saw that, so assumed that would be around when the GRR Fps were back. But then I wondered whether all the machines were dedicated to WOC with just one show...

The machines have always been split, some for WoC some for GRR. So you can get a GRR FP right away regardless of the WoC FPs being distributed.

This was not the case during our June and July visits. All GRR fastpasses were dedicated to WoC in the morning. Later in the day, the machines were split between WoC and GRR distribution. Has this changed recently?

Yes, that is what happened. I think we must be misunderstanding Skiingfast.

Anyone there currently that can clear up the confusion? Love to know when is the soonest we can start picking up GRR fps...

I'm not there (yet!) but I'll wager a guess. WOC fastpasses are running out really quickly in the morning (11:15 one day this week, 10:25 another- per another thread) that I'm GUESSING they don't have time to split the fastpass machines. Spitting out all of the tickets before 10:30? I just can't imagine that's possible unless all six machines are in use for WOC fastpasses. (They also weren't splitting the machines until much later in the day this summer.)

I'm planning on checking at 10:30...and asking a CM for an estimate if they haven't switched over yet.

Love to hear more from people who've actually been there...please chime in!

I wonder now since there are less people in the park, if they switch half the machines to GRR earlier now?

They are running all 6 Fastpass machines until they run out or early afternoon. Last month DCA opened both Soaring and GRR at 9:30 which greatly helped the crowd. This week they do not open GRR until after 10:00.

When we were there a couple weeks ago we tried to get GRR first thing in the am and they told us no they wouldn't be split until mid day. we returned that day around 3pm and they were split lines and we could get both WOC fp and GRR Fastpasses. We didn't as we had already seen WOC with the picnic meals.

Actually no when we were there in August. It was about 1300-1400 before the GRR FP's were available. Did not make me very happy.

I agree! Such a great ride, so much better without a line!
But his looks hopeful...

Thanks for posting this! Looks like mid week one show means mid morning FPs, but two shows in the weekend means late Fps....
