My sister loves Winnie the Pooh and all his friends, and I want to have a (semi-surprise) character dining experience with Poohbear and his pals...but we're big kids (otherwise known as a thirty-somethings).

Am I going to run into any problems going to a character dinner? Worse, are there parents out there who feel that grown ups doing this takes away from the kids? Will Pooh and Eeyore ignore us?

I know this is an odd question, but part of this is my sisters 30th B-day experience...it's her, rather belated, present to herself and I don't want her to feel put out at all.

Do Not Feel That Way. EVERYONE is a KID at Disney. My Wife and myself along with our 28 year old daughter and fiance just did Crystal Palace at New Years. It was a blast. We also did the Norway Princess breakfast and that was cool too !!! GO AND ENJOY !!!!

My husband and I have done character meals, just the 2 of us, and we have never felt ignored. I am an EEYORE NUT!!!! One hint... when the hostess seats you, make sure to tell her that your friend LOVES  Pooh. They will pass this on to the characters so they know that you are character loving big kids.

Also, it never ever hurts to get hats with Pooh ears, or a headband with Eeyore ears, and to wear your finest Hundred Acre Woods tee shirts. Make yourselves noticable, and you won't be disappointed. And if those with kids don't like that the characters are spending time with you, so what! You paid to be there and see the characters, too! Don't feel at all bad about that! The only dinner you will find with Pooh and friends is at is at Crystal Palace, so if you are within your 90 day window to get your PS, please do it ASAP.... they fill up fast!

Have fun, and hope your friend is really surprised! :jumping4:

Me and My husband have also done the crystal palace character breakfast and really enjoyed it, I am a winnie the pooh fan and felt they gave us as much attention as everybody else, even my husband enjoyed himself getting hugs from winnie the pooh. Just go and enjoy youselves. :flower1:

My husband and I went to the CP for a character breakfast on our honeymoon last year. Next month there will be a total of 6 of us going(all ladults). We are doing a character breakfast then as well. I LOVE them!! If a parent has a problem with an adult only party doing a CB, then as my mother says, "They can get glad in the same pants they got mad in!"

Seriously, go and enjoy yourself!

Go!! Enjoy yourself!! Disney if for ALL ages..we're all just kids at heart anyway. ;)

I can't imagine anyone feeling like you're taking away from the kids..and if they do..well then they are just very un-Disney and it's their problem to deal with!

I love Winnie the Pooh too and I fully intend to still have dinners with him even when my kids are grown! :earboy2:

I have three small children and I say go and enjoy!! If anyone has a problem too bad. You are paying the same as any adult there and Disney is for everyone!! My only pieve (and I have had this done) is when I place my child on a line for a character meeting and I step back to let them feel "independant" adults have actually cut my child thinking the parents were not around to notice!! :sad2:

So if your not cutting my kid......enjoy!! LOL!

I loved the Crystal Palace for breakfast. I took two 17 year olds - we all had a great time.

Do it!!!

I also have 3 small children, and I agree with everyone, go for it!! Have a blast! :wizard:

There is no need to think you'll be ignored!!! DBF and I went to 3 character breakfasts and 1 character dinner in November (we're 26 and 28) and we got plenty of attention! Actually at Chef Mickey's breakfast, we had a great time. When we went to take pictures, Chip posed DBF before I took it. And Goofy spent a lot of time with us being, well, goofy! :earboy2: I have to say too that I know there are some parents out there who may act like your taking time away from their children, but for the most part we never experienced this. Actually at one breakfast there was a VERY excited little boy at the table next to us (probably about 4 yrs old) who was having trouble understanding the concept that the characters would stop at every table and kept running over every time a character stopped for us. Every time the parents got him back to their table and appologized to us and told him he had to wait his turn. Seeing how excited he was I would have gladly let him go before us, but it was nice to see how considerate the parents were being of us "big kids" :wizard:

I went to the Beach Club for breakfast on my birthday with my mother. It was so much fun and Goofy made everyone sing Happy Birthday to me. We also went to the Ice cream Social and the charachters spent alot of time with us. It was lots and lots of fun.
