My Mom and Dad decided to join us a couple months back, so they booked their own package. Now we've got 2 parties of 2 adults - each on the DDP.

Can I use my DDP credits to pay for all 4 of us at some meals and then have them do the same thing the next time? Seems easier than having the server process it twice and will help me keep our total of remaining credits straight. Has anyone tried this?

We're leaving for the world on Thursday!

It's my understanding that if your resort ID says 2 adults, you can only use 2 adult dining plan credits per meal (with the exception of signature restaurants requiring 2 credits per adult). Just tell the server prior to ordering that you'll need separate checks and both couples are on the dining plan.

Have a great trip! :wizard:

Officially no, but whe I went to Prime Time, the server made it clear we could use a child's credit for the third kid who was NOT on the plan. We didn't, but she was perfectly willing to do it, and I think many places woul let it go... problem would come up if it worked for you, then not for them... you'd be out two credits and have to pay OOP.
This is one of those situations where you're not really doing something wrong, but because of their fear of cheaters, you can't use the credits in a perfectly legitimate way.

DON'T DO IT. A poster had a problem when serves earlier in the trip accomodated that (reasonable) request but servers later in the trip didn't want to accomodate the request. No reason to have wait in line in your resort solving a problem that seperate checks would have prevented.

I'm at disney correctly and we have 13 people in 3 different villas. At the beginning of each meal we tell the server that we'll have 3 room keys at the end and that we need it split such and such way. All the servers have been fine with this and it's not been a problem.
