Groupon/Savemore/Etc Deals in Disney Area

We have our Dis trip happening in June. I have begun to collect/keep my eye out for deals. I haven't seen a thread for this, so I thought this could be a thread to report on found deals for Groupon/Savemore, Etc.

Please don't post referral links. It is against the Disboards rules. Please just post the info and where to go.

On Savemore.com I have collected...

$10 Subway card ($5)
$10 Burger King Card ($5)

I turned in our Huggies Rewards Points for a $15 Starbucks card. (Free)


We are staying offsite and do not participate in the DDP. My hope is that I can find groupon deals or gift card deals to cover a lot of our lunches/dinners and such.

(Not a deal, but cool) we also received a $25 card for Applebees for Christmas that we will use for 1 dinner after a Park day & a $40 Disney gift card from a phone call DVC tour that we will use for a few QS meals in the parks

I had never thought of doing Groupon for Orlando...that is smart.

On many of our past trips, we wait until Entertainment books are marked down to 10 or 15 bucks, and then we get one for Orlando. As we check out of the hotel, I always find a someone checking in the lobby to hand it off to...saves me a fortunate and it gives me a chance to do something nice.

The book has also introduced us to a lot of great local attractions we never knew about.

Don't forget restauant.com for some discounts. I also use to get discounts from an Orlando radio station, but I forget which one. Maybe someone will remember. You also might try signing up on local restauants websites for coupons closer to your trip. I know Sweet Tomatoes and Fudruckers and Steak and Shake all send out coupons but I am sure there are more.

i am not the biggest fan of restaurant.com. Its ok, but there's always a minimum to be spent and I can pretty much get it anytime. Ill check out fuddruckers and steak & shake.

Thanks OP. We are driving down so deals on fast food places will help. I have been looking for Groupons and Living Social deals in Orlando but since we are staying on property I haven't found any useful to me.
Today Amazon local has a deal for a $100 travelocity hotel GC for $50. I almost got one but you have to spend a minimum of $250.

You got me a little excited. I was hoping it was a general travelocity deal. I would have used it to buy our airline tickets. But saw that it is only for hotels. Oh well. I will just keep searching. Thank you for posting it though. Hopefully someone can use the deal.

Again, anyone who sees a deal, post it. Gift Card deals might take 6-8 weeks from order to arrival. Groupon-like coupons tend to be good in a matter of days. Regardless, I am hoping deals like these will lower our food costs greatly.

There are quite a few printable coupons that can save you money on off-site restaurants in the Disney World area. Most chain restaurants also have online email clubs, which are well worth joining, because they often send out great coupons. If they ask you to select a "favorite" location, pick the one near Disney World, since some clubs restrict their coupons to a particular location. Also, sign up for the club no more than 2 weeks prior to your trip, as many clubs send out a really fantastic introductory coupon, but it's often good for only a short time.Some of the restaurants below are located in Downtown Disney, which is on Disney property and accessible by Disney transportation. Most of the rest are relatively close to Walt Disney World, along the Apopka Vineland Road (Hwy 535) corridor to the east of Hotel Plaza Blvd, where the Downtown Disney hotels are located. A few are on International Drive, which is further away. Of the off-site restaurants below, only those located in Crossroads Center would be at all walkable from Disney property (about a mile from Downtown Disney). For the others, you'll need a car.

Ages 10 and under; limit of two 99 cent meals per table; expires 12/31/12. Some readers have reported these coupons are also honored at T-REX, which is owned by the same company. Earl of Sandwich (Downtown Disney) now has an eClub that you can join online for free. You'll get a FREE sandwich on your birthday and other offers.

House of Blues (Downtown Disney) - Happy Hour from 3:00-5:00 pm and 10:00 pm to closing: $2 domestic beer; $3 imported beer, house wine and house cocktails; 1/2 price appetizers. No coupon necessary, but check the link to make sure this is still running.

Chevy's Fresh Mex (Crossroads Center) - Join their Compadres Club and get coupons by email. Also, Kids Eat FREE all day on Tuesdays (except holidays) with purchase of a regular price adult entree.

Sweet Tomatoes (Crossroads Center) - Sign up online for their Club Veg to receive coupons by email. Pick the Lake Buena Vista, FL location.

Perkins (Crossroads Center) - Sign up for their eClub and get special offers by email.

Uno Chicago Grill (Crossroads Center) - Sign up for their Insider's Club and get coupons by email. Also, MouseSavers.com reader Marlene points out that Uno offers bargain "Snack Hours" in the bar only from 4:00-7:00 pm and 10:00 pm to closing, every night of the week except Saturday.

Romano's Macaroni Grill (535 north of Palm Parkway) - Sign up for their Email Club (lower left of home page) and get $5 off 2 entrees.

Joe's Crab Shack (535 north of Palm Parkway) - Sign up for Joe Mail and receive offers by email. Pick the Apopka Vineland Road, FL location as your favorite.

Steak 'n Shake (535 north of Palm Parkway) - Kids eat FREE on weekends. Get one free kids plate for every $8 spent. Saturday and Sunday only. Kids plate excludes drinks and shakes. Children 12 and under. Dine-in only. Also, join the Steak 'n Shake E-Club to get coupons and special offers.

The Crab House (east of Palm Pkwy/535) - Kids 10 and under eat FREE on Wednesdays from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. No coupon required, but I recommend calling them at (407) 239-1888 to make sure the offer is still going.

Oh sorry, I added the word hotel in there! I LOVE Groupon! We have found so many fun local places using them. I would not hesitate to use them on vacation.

Don't forget to check out the Groupon Now options while you are there. These are only good on the day they are offered and some are only 30 or so % off rather than the usual Groupon 50%. I have never used these as we don't have it here in San Antonio. Today for example, in Orlando they have 114 available. Some are in limited numbers so you could check in the mornings and buy for the evenings. However you will need the Groupon app on your smartphone or a way to print.

Saveology has a deal for Ben & Jerry's $5 for a $10 GC - there is a store listed at Orlando Premium Outlets - so if you plan to do any shopping there you might want to treat yourself to some ice cream.
