Since were are starting to plan our 2014 trip. I am having some trouble well not really trouble but what would you do. Last two trips we stayed at Pop Century got 2 rooms and we had 6 people going. This trip their could be a possibility of 8 people going. They family informed me that they want to stay at AoA. However I am not sure how I should set up rooms if all 8 people go. Since we would want a suit at least 1 suit. should I book 1 suit and 1 standard room or should I book 2 suits since it would be really 3 families. Me, My Dsis, Our mom and Dad, My BIL, My niece, My sis'sMIL, My sis'sFIL what would you do. I keep going back that we could get three rooms at pop. But since the family wants AoA.
Plus our mom wants Nemo Suit since it is close to the lobby and My Niece wants Cars what to do plus we want to be next to each other in rooms. If it is only 6 of us then we will just do 1 suit.

You really answered your own question - your options are 2 suites, 1 suite/1 standard, or 2 - 3 standards. At AoA if you don't all the book the same room/theme you won't be near each other. Since you know your options I'd present them to everyone with different prices and see what everyone wants to do.

I agree, you need to have a family meeting to discuss your options. If you want rooms next to each other at AOA, you would need to book three standard rooms or two suites with the same theme. Also, be sure to explain to them the bedding configurations in each - the standard rooms have two double beds, while the suites have one queen bed, a double murphy bed, and a double sofa bed.

Personally, if it was me, with a party of that make up, I would opt for the three standard rooms.

Good luck planning! :)

Agree. You can try for AoA or POP. I gives real beds to all those adults. And if anyone should cancel last minute no one is left hanging paying full cost of a suite or not having a room.

But if everyone wants the suites, but different themes, since they won't be together, you just let each family book it themselves. Having traveled with extended family, space isn't always a bad thing ;) no matter how close you are. You can still link your reservations on My Disney Experience with the Friends and Families.

Is there a reason your sister cannot book her own room? She books hers, you book yours, parents book theirs.

This might be a good idea. Let them book their own room and they can choose whatever theme they want.. Your mom wants Nemo and your neice wants Cars. You know the room will never be next to each other if each one wants different themes. Good luck with the planning.

Thanks will have a meeting. I even looked up a villa prices just t see what they say. I keep tossing back 3 rooms. I think I am going to print out a map for them t show them where nemo is and cars. I think that will help knowing they aren't right next to each other. but close enough. if we need 2 suits

If price is any concern, why not book at POP and walk over to AoA to enjoy the theming? You can always catch a ride back to AoA from the parks and then walk through the theming on the way back to your rooms. You can even walk over in the morning and eat breakfast at AoA before heading off to the parks. I understand that kids get excited about wanting a particular theme, but sometimes a compromise can be made that won't disappoint them. The extra money you save could be put towards an extra character meal or something special.
