Group ROOM discounts for 10 rooms or more?

My family and I are planning our return Grand Gathering for Feb 2011.
Does anyone know if Disney offers ROOM discounts for booking more than 10 resort rooms? In our past trips we've had less than 10 rooms, but next year we have more extended family members that want to join.
We usually book through AAA, and already have a GG # set up (but haven't officially reserved rooms yet) - I'm looking for a quick answer from the experts here today as the question came up during a family meeting yesterday, and the Disney group reservations dept is closed on weekends.

We have a dance group going with 10 rooms, and they quoted us rack rate. I think it is cheaper to do a rm only discount.

I'm not sure if the Disney "Grand Gatherings" program gets you much of a discount or not.. but if you are going during a discounted period, you could probably save more that way.

ok, thanks. I'm encouraging everyone to sign up on Disney's website, and also order the vacation planning DVD; sometimes that increases the likelihood of receiving PIN numbers. I got two PIN offers this year (of course during our off-Disney year)!

We'll also keep our fingers crossed for a "buy 4 get 3" deal - we were able to take advantage of that in Feb 2009 and saved a lot (when they combined it with the gift card offer too that year, which was even better).

We've been twice as a GG and I don't believe we get anything for that - except having our rooms in closs proximity - and the ability to book some of the GG events (at cost). We'll be there during peak season (President's weekend/week) in 2011.

Grand Gatherings does not save you anything except for the normal discounts. It gives you access to the Gathering Experience and guarantees you close together.

Discounts for Dance Teams, Conventions, etc are different, but for a normal family gathering needing 10 rooms, you do get a discount. However, they can't apply any special offers like Free Dining, or 7F4, etc and the components are done separately. If you have 10 or more rooms, you can call Leisure Group Sales at 407-828-3200 option 1.

Thanks, I do have their number and will give them a call this week. Whatever they do offer for a group discount; we'd have to weigh it against other offers that might come up during the year.

Yes, Disney does have major discounts for those booking 10 or more rooms!!! I was trying to put this together myself, but my family members couldn't commit at the time. You want to contact Group Sales at 407-566-4914. Can I be a member of your family? LOL
