We are a group of 11 staying at SSR for 3 nights, pre cruise.
Does it help/matter if I "register" us as a Group?

Thanks so much!

We had a group of 11 this past January at POP and registered as a GG. We had 3 rooms all next to each other which helped alot.

Thanks. We are all together in a GV. Is there anything else that would matter other than keeping us all together?

Other than room requests being together, the only other advantage is if you want to do one of the grand gathering dining options (Tony's, Epcot and Animal Kingdom - I think?) Those all cost extra of course.

We had about 20 ppl together last summer, and there wasn't much advantage other than rooms being put close together.

You might want to rethink about keeping the group together. It will be like herding cats.

We regularly do large groups and we do one meal a day together (sometimes two) but everyone plans their own park time (even if we are in the same park). Some people move faster than others. Some may want to ride Dumbo or the Teacups, some don't. Some of our group go to different parks, etc.

Thank you very much. We too travel with our families and we are not doing the parks. This is just a few days of DVC before going on our family cruise.
I wanted to know if we were "missing" anything buy not putting in our "Group" but we have all our ADRs, which I made long time ago, and my mother, dd and her bf are all going on KTTK Tour one day (with our DVC Discount).
Other than that, we are relaxing and taking it easy, eating dinner out and waiting for our cruise.

Thank you all very much!

It sounds like a very nice time! Enjoy it and the cruise!

That is very sweet that you took the time to post that to me.
We are all VERY excited and I've been listening to my Disney music EVERY day at work, everyone is already sick of it but it will be played until next month!

I certainly understand. After DH and I took our first DCL cruise, for his 60th birthday, they sent us a short CD of island type music. It begins with the Wonder's horn sound...and ends with waves splashing on the shore. We listen to it a lot, and our next DCL cruise is August 2012!

OHHH, how wonderful! Have fun planning and anticipating.
We are doing a July 2012 cruise next year, but it is on Oasis for both my dd and ds's graduations. I am really looking forward to that cruise. We also love RCCL.

I LOVE listening to Island Type Music especially waiting for a cruise!

Have fun!
