Group Dinner at Chef Mickey's during the Sept. Event UPDATED!

Daber brought up the idea and I think since Lori might not be able to go to the event this year I will take over for her.
I booked Chef Mickey's for a group dinner for anyone who would like to attend on Friday evening September 19th, before the Contemporary meet.

I booked for 30 people today for 5 pm. This is the only time they allow large groups for dinner there. But this will be a great time for all of us because the events end at the Contemporary at 4:30 so when they toss us out of the Pavillion we can all head over to the Contemporary. Then we will be ready after dinner for some serious pin trading..
I have to promise them a certain amount of people and pay for that amount. So, because of this, I will ask the same as Lori did, if you tell me that you are going and don't show up I would expect you to pay me.
I will have to give the final headcount a week before we go so you have a long time to make your decision.
we had a really great time last year and hope a large group can attend again.
The cost will be $29.15 per adult, $13.35 per child age 3-11. This cost includes taxes and gratuities. Peggie

I'm interested in dinner. I'm not too experienced in pin trading; I really liked the lanyard for carrying my passes/room key and ID. I'm going to be at WDW solo from 9/13-9/27 and decided to sign up for the Pin Trading Event. I haven't received any of my paperwork yet. So, I'm not very informed about times, events, etc.

What is going on at the Comtemporary? What events end at the Contemporary at 4:30?

will be in WDW from the 13th for the event and would love to attend .... going solo, too So any volunteers for the other nights... a german guy needs entertainment ))

For all lurkers: Friday night is pintrading night at the contemporary resort starting at 7 p.m. But i wonder how they will handle 1000 traders over there ))) Same for all-stars on thursday, last time i was there it was pretty crowded with only a few dozen traders in addition to the regular guests in the foodcourt )

Cindy.. are you the Cindy going on the illuminations cruise on the 15th ?? If so we will meet and i can help with some explanations about the pin event You can PM me if you like !!!

Like Cindy my wife and I are not to experienced at trading. Although she has been purchasis pins since our honeymoon in 1999. We would love to meet other DIS people for a trading event. But I have not read anything about an event or a dinner the the CR. Can anybody give me some more info.

Welcome Scott into the zany world of pintrading.
There's a little thing called a Pin Celebration which is happening at EPCOT on Sept 19-21. This is the third year for this event. If you haven't registered yet, hurry. Call Event Services @407-827-7600. There is a brouchure of the pins being sold and an RSP (random selection process) form to fill out by August 22.
As far as the dinner is concerned, this thread is the only place you'll hear about it. Just let us know you are coming and you will meet all of us, eat, and then we will all go to the Contemporary pin meet, which is held every Friday night on the 4th floor next to the pin station.
