What is the approximate cost of ground transportation-- taxi, shuttle, car service/limo, to Hojo from
LAX?
Long Beach?
SNA?

With all the airport options, I would hate to choose an airport because it is the cheepest, yet find it will cost $100 more to get from the airport to hotel...thanks for any input anyone can give.

Generally, you'll find that the closer airports are less expensive for ground transportation.

Shuttle and Taxi from both SNA and LGB are pretty similar. Super Shuttle can be around $16 using an ent. rate. Taxi can run about $40 each way. LAX is much farther away and will cost more for both shuttle and taxi options.

The Disneyland Express bus services LAX and SNA, but not LGB. I'm not sure of the cost of that service.

I don't know about the other airports because I have only ever used LAX.

Super Shuttle is around $16 pp one way, but there are discounts out there that take the price down a bit. Just google it. Prime Time Shuttle is similar in price.

I don't when you are going but the Disneyland Express currently has a deal where Adults pay Kids prices if you purchase the vouchers through getawaytoday.com. It came out to $11.25 pp one way. Normally it is around $30 per adult round trip and around $25 per child round trip

When I asked for quotes town cars seem to run about $90-110 each way and I would assume a taxi would be similar.

Thank you both, that definatly gives me a starting place. Last time we flew into LGB and rented a car so I am kind of clueless on the ground transportation issue. I would love to fly into/out of LGB again, but just did not want to make the mistake of having to pay an extra $$$ to get a taxi from there.

I've not flown into LGB, but one reason that holds me back is the shuttle cost. My friend likes the airport but says that the shuttle is significantly more expensive than SNA, so that kind of wipes out any savings on airfare. It only costs $10 pp each way on Super Shuttle to/from SNA, and with coupon codes you can knock it down to $7. I am not sure what it costs for LGB but I was thinking my friend said around $40. The taxi rate is about the same from either SNA or LGB (~$45 each way).

I just checked the SuperShuttle website for a fare quote. To/from LGB the cost is $35 for the first person and $9 for each additional passenger for a shared van, $90 for an exclusive van, $76 for an exclusive car, and $54 for business express, whatever that is. I don't know for sure, but quite possibly the SuperShuttle coupon codes I use for SNA would work from LGB. Here is a site that gives you some coupon codes if you decide to use SS. You do have to reserve online to use them. http://www.retailmenot.com/view/supershuttle.com

I guess it just depends on the size of your party as to which is the better airport for you.

We fly in to SNA and grab a taxi cause its a straight shot, no waiting on the shuttle till its our stop and it was about $40.

thanks everyone. Great info.
I am planning ahead for a trip this coming spring (I have been planning since the return flight from our frist Disney trip last spring :goodvibes )
Anyhow, currently airfair is about $100 pp cheeper flying into LGB (there are 4 of us), so even with the extra $20 or so ground transportation, it looks like LGB may be our airport.
