Hi everyone! I'll be completing my online check-in soon and I'm considering asking for a ground floor room because we'll have a stroller for my 2 year old daughter. I'm concerned about noise though.

If anyone has stayed in a ground floor room, I'd love to hear your experiences! We're staying at AoA, Cars suites specifically.

We've stayed in ground floor units several times, but avoid them if we can. Some stays have been fine. Others have been noisy because of folks above us apparently jumping around, or at least stomping heavily. Its the luck of the draw.

I would think ground floor would be better for noise in a suite, since the people above you are not confined to one room.

We always request a ground floor room. We've had more problems with noisy guests next door than above us.

We love ground floor rooms! No problems here with noise, so far! We ask for rooms facing away from the pool area though.

Stayed ground floor, 2nd and 3rd at POFQ and have not noticed any difference.

We had noisy people above us during one of our trips and have always asked for top floor since.

One of my favorite stays was ground floor at the Poly. I was concerned about the foot traffic walking by our room, butno issues! It was so convenient!

We have stayed on ground floor at AoA and ASM. I loved it both times. We also take a stroller and it's big. It was really nice just to roll it in. I am hoping for another ground floor room on our next trip. I didn't even think about requesting it... I probably should...

With my parents, they always want ground floor to avoid elevators and shorter walks

For me, I prefer higher floors due to the view

I was 6th floor WL (6143) 2 weeks ago and got to see wishes from my room and electric water parade...amazing!!

Had a ground floor room at the Poly. No balcony, but we had a garden view, so it didn't matter, not too much to see anyway. Worked great. No noise at all.

The only people that can answer your question about noise will be your neighbors and no one knows who they will be now. Can there be a family will lively kids (or adults) skipping around upstairs over you? Yes. Can there be a quiet older couple who are fast asleep in their beds when you get back to the room? Yes. Can there be a housekeeper who is up above you when you want your child to go for an afternoon nap? Yes. Can there be perfect bliss and you hear nothing? Yes.

We had four ground floor rooms, needed for medical things so our next door neighbors were perfect :). No one heard anything from upstairs and we had certain people who needed to be in bed and asleep by 10 PM. That was at Pop Century.

I have read the entire thread on AoA (took me a week!) and I have not heard much about complaining about upper neighbors. Mostly, it was hallway noise (especially if you are near the elevator or in Lion King in the summer as many people in Little Mermaid walk through on their way instead of outside) or pool noise from the Nemo pool. We requested a ground floor, lakeview room to prevent the pool noise and to avoid having to take the elevator or stairs. We stay in one week. I'll reply back how the ground floor was (hopefully!)

Just got back. We requested a ground floor, but ended up on 2 with no lakeview (courtyard view). No big deal to me. We did really love our Nemo room and didn't hear much noise. We weren't far from the elevator, and only had one loud neighbor that we heard once or twice. Again, no big deal compared to some of the horror stories I've heard on here. Overall, it was pretty quiet. One thing, they project the movies on the weekends between the Nemo and Lion King buildings. It was outside our window (we were in building 5). A few times it was loud, but again, nothing too bad. During the week, the movies are shown in the pool area. My kids were so tired after the parks, they fell asleep no matter what!
So, if you really want a quiet Nemo room, I would try to get into building 4 and no pool view, since they won't have the movies.
