We are arriving three days earlier than we planned in March and were planning on staying at the Grosvenor for three nights and I was looking for opinions on anyone's stay at the Grosvenor. Did you like or dislike like it and why. Thank you.

We just returned from there and thought the Hotel was great! Walking distance from DTD, view of the Fireworks at Pleasure Island, and the ammenities/customer service were perfect.

The rooms were clean, good water pressure, plenty of hot water, and had ample storage.

They have a little store/deli type place when you first walk in that you can get all sorts of snacks/sandwiches/Pizza Hut pizza 24 hours a day as well as a Pub and Restaurant.

The bus ride home from the Parks is a bit long because it's the last stop, but it was a nice rest for us. You usually get back to your hotel about 25-35 minutes after boarding.

Ask for a Tower Room if you'd like the Fireworks view, but if a balcony is important, then go for the Courtyard. I did hear that those rooms aren't quite as nice though.

Enjoy!

We also enjoyed our stay at the Grosvenor. The best part for us was the location! After a day in the parks we'd go back to our room to freshen up and then walk over to DD. It is literally just across the street from DD!

I would definitely ask them before arrival for a tower room with a DD view. We enjoyed our pre-cruise stay in Dec., and would stay again if we were lucky to get another Priceline deal on it! :p Our 2yo dd loved having her "own" bed, and for the 1st time - she wasn't kicking me all night long...

Do tower rooms with a view of DTD cost extra? Are courtyard rooms much cheapers?

thanks:D

Who does the transportation to and from the parks for the Grosvenor? How frequently do the buses run?

We stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn Seaworld last trip, and the buses were run by L.R. Joseph Company, who were HORRENDOUS. Often late, surly drivers, etc.

I just want to be sure we're not going to run into problems transportation-wise by staying at the Grosvenor.

I stayed at this hotel a long time ago when I was a child.. It was then called The Dutch Inn? Or at least that's what I remember it to be called. I remember being fascinated with the Windmill shaped pool! This is the pool that my father taught me to dive in! Of course, it was just off the side of the pool! LOL I remember it to be a wonderful place to stay!

The tower rooms are more expensive, but on their Website, not Disney, there are Tower room specials. We just took advantage of them and they included Ultimate Park Hoppers for the length of our stay.

The buses to MK, Epcot, and MGM run every 20-30 minutes and Animal Kingdom every 30 minutes only during prime morning hours. Otherwise, AK is every hour. Downtown Disney buses are about every 30 minutes, but you really don't need a bus for that cuz it's right across the street. Disney does the transportation for the DTD hotels and you do stop at all 6 of them. I think it's 6 at least.

You are the 2nd to the last to be picked up and the last to be dropped off unless they have changed the schedule since mid January.

Thanks everyone for the input. I have booked with a courtyard room but I'm wondering if I should try for the Tower. Has anyone stayed in the courtyard room and what's your opinion. We are only there for three nights before we move to OKW. Thanks again.
