Grosvenor resort

We stayed one night there in May and than the other 2 nights at BCV. It was small, clean but smelly. If your planning on staying there I would look into the rates at the Value resorts they are usually pretty comparable. Personally I probably would not stay there again.

My brother and family stayed there...I did not. But they also said it was smelly. Their room smelled of vomit and had to change rooms. The next room smelled like feet, so they had to change again. They could not believe it...

Also they said the bus service was very bad. Long waits, not enough busses and crowded.

We stayed there a couple of years ago. No odor in the room. We were not overly impressed but the location is great. It takes 2 minutes to walk to Downtown Disney, where you can bus hop to anywhere.
They also had a nice character breakfast at the time.

Have stayed there twice, most recent year and a half ago. The wing rooms are pretty basic with a feel of a circa 1970s motel room. Most recent stay was top floor of the tower, room was better with a great view. Not my first choice for an off property stay, but with great location and if I have a good rate I would consider it. I think this hotel or company who owns it declared bankruptcy sometime in the recent past, don't know how that worked out.

Stayed there in February 2001. Wouldn't do it again. It soured me on non-Disney properties that the very next year we bought into DVC and never even seen a DVC room or even been to any DVC resorts! I booked through Hotels.com (we paid about $70 not including tax/night) and looked up the web site and requested a pamphlet. Ha! They do not show you the older part..which is exactly where our room was. I don't like exterior corridors (but that's my problem), the room was VERY old. Beds were old, linens-old, furniture-very old), the bathroom..etc. We didn't spend much time there anyway, but no way, ever again. The breakfast was really good and it was a character breakfast w/ Detective Goofy (don't remember any others). We didn't have a problem with the buses. Really short walk to DTD. Not a lot of parking. After that stay we decided that we didn't want that to happen again and bought DVC. If we didn't have DVC...I'd rather stay at One of the Value Resorts.

Stayed there about five years ago and I regret it. The toilet bowl got clogged twice. Finally they moved us to a new room. I spent the morning packing and unpacking to move to the other room, which was time wasted when we could have been enjoying Disneyworld. We didn't even get a discount or free meal for the trouble we went through. The only plus about it is that it was close to Downtown Disney. However, I would gladly stay at a different hotel in that area that's a little farther away just to be spared that experience.

We stayed there in May and were really pleased with it and my DH is really picky when it comes to non-WDW resorts/hotels. In fact we are looking at going down so he can see Queensryche at HOB in October and he thought of the Grosvenor right away.

When we were there in May, we had a Disney view tower room. We were pleased with the breakfast buffet. Lots of choices for the price. We want to do the Mystery Dinner one time too.

We stayed there in August '02, top of the tower. It was what we would call in the UK, "fading genteely" , that is a bit worn out but still OK. To be fair at that time it looked like extensive refurbishment was ongoing in the garden rooms and the main entrance.

We are returning there on 10/12/05 for the first leg of our 25th Anniversary trip and the Grosvenor has been kind enough to give us a tower room with a view of DTD!

Will report back when we return home to the UK in November.

We stayed there in May and YUCK! We had a wing room so that might have been part of the problem. They are VERY small, smelled very musty and the food at the restaurant was HORRIBLE. Never again. I am NOT that picky about hotel rooms, we usually stay at Microtel's or Comfort Inn type places, the rooms were the equivalent to a roadside mom/pop motel.
