We are seasoned Grosvenor goers. Well, I guess I should say former seasoned.
We have stayed there for years. I would agree, the tower rooms are nicer than the standard rooms.
To be perfectly honest with you, after a while, the ONLY reason we kept going back there was because of the waitress' in the dining room for breakfast.
My husband I go down to WDW three times a year. The waitress' would remember us and they treated us like family.
When we stayed there last Sept. we had a major complainant about our check out experience. So bad, that I email the hotel the day we got home. They asked us to allow them to make up for the error.
When it was time to book our Dec. trip, I was standing firm in my shoes, but we had gotten spoiled with the location and bus service. In the end, they offered us a deal and we took it.
I was thinking that they would be bending over backwards to make sure our stay was exceptional. We were in the tower and it was the worst experience we have ever had in a hotel. And trust me, my husband and I do a great deal of traveling.
We have recently bought into DVC and after those last two experiences at Grosvenor, we were not doubting our purchase in the least.
As I told the manager of the hotel, with all the competion in the WDW area, a hotel can not treat their guests as their top priority.
And I will shout as loud as possible, Grosvenor does not meet that motto any longer.
I would look elsewhere.
