Hey guys. We will be leaving "The world" on a Sunday night and we need a hotel outside "the world" to stay for one night and one night only. It will probably be only be to get a good nights rest before we leave for the long drive home. We are trying to stay on budget. I found on Hotels.com a room at Grosvenor for a total of $103.50 total. Is this a good price? Have any of you guys used Hotel.com before? If so how was it.

Also..If you know of any REALLY nice hotels (Clean..easy to find...etc) for a cheaper price please post them here.

I was scarred as a child by staying in "roach motels"..I can't do that again.
Thanks you guys!

If that is a basic room at the Grovsenor I dont think thats too great. Someone posted recently a link to get the Best Western on the same street for $69.99..look bad at threads going back a few days

You may even do better at POP or All Star, depending on what time of year your tlaking about. Do you have AAA? You can apply that as a discount. I can't remember what is was about hotel.com that I didn't use them but I think it was because they could not guarantee me the rate they quoted me, and they didn't tell me that freely, I had to ask a million questions till it finally came out. I think it was hotels.com but it could of been one of those other internet hotel websites. I would call them and see what they say.

Just make sure that the price is for a Tower room at the Grosvenor and you'll be fine. Others are worth looking into though... We really enjoyed our stay there though. ...

We recently got this hotel through priceline for $55. It was ok we had a wing room, nothing great about the room but not a total dump. The best thing is the location, very short walk to DTD. We stayed one night before our package started. We do priceline a lot and would recommmend, just stay above three stars.

We got a pool view room (is that a good room???) for a total of $102/night, including all taxes. We needed a place to stay one night, too, and wanted to be close to DTD.

I just stayed there a couple of weeks ago in a wing room. The wing rooms are motel like (every room opens to the outside, not an inside corridor). The room was clean but a little small. The staff was very rude or just plain clueless but that didn't bother me to much since I didn't have to deal with them except to check in and out. I booked directly through the hotel website and paid about $100 including the resort fee and taxes. You might want to see what you get from the website at www.grosvenorresort.com. For just one night, it really should work out fine and the added benefit is it is right across from DD. I walked over each of the three nights I was there.

Have you looked into Cypress Pointe through hotelkingdom.com ? It's just a few minutes from Crossroads if you're driving. For $73 you can get a 2 bedroom villa.
