Gross bizarre things people do

so the thread about bottoms of shoes made me think of yesterday, we were at a lake swimming, the kids are all in the water, I was on the beach and I see a woman come walking down the beach heading for the water, she stops at the shore line, takes gum out of her mouth and places it on the sand.
mind you kids are everywhere, playing on the beach , in and out of the water etc.
there were trash bins up the beach, and plus she could have just put it with her stuff.
so I am thinking maybe she placed it like that and will pick it up when she comes out, but no ,she dunks herself, comes out walks by her disgusting chewed gum and keeps going.
so gross.

I hate when I witness something so gross and just plain rude by people.
are they that lazy they can't walk over to a trash bin??

I actually responded to your post in the other thread. But I'll mention it here, as well.

I live in a very rural area and we have a lot of farms and farmers. I love all of my farm neighbors to death, but some of them are a little lax in their social skills. I've been in numerous stores where they will spit and/or blow their nose right on the floor.

I guess they forget that sometimes they're not out in the fields.

Even outside there are places you should/shouldn't spit and respect for others should be a first thought.

I work for a Prop Ins company and during the Charley/Frances/Jeanne/Ivan hurricane season we had tents set up all over the state in different parking lots helping people report their claims,etc. Under the tents we were set up like an typical office as much as you can be for being outside. I had this one lady come up to my table, she sat in the chair on the other side of the table as we discussed her policy and right in the middle of a conversation she makes this really disgusting noise clearing her throat and spits out this big ole' yucky gunk right there in front of me. It was SO gross I just sat there in shock. I mean I know we were outside and all but, we were trying to be as professional as possible while helping people with their claims. She couldn't have excused herself and walked outside the tent away from people

I think it is Sooo Gross for people to Blow their Nose at the dinner table!!

I've heard the excuses "but my nose is running - would you rather it drip into my food?"
I couldn't care less about your food! Why is just a good wipe not enough when needed?
Why the need for a loud exaggerated snot extraction?
Why can't you go to the bathroom if it's that bad? Surely one good extraction should last you through dinner?
